In 24 hours we'll be able to stop speculating and download the demo/buy the game, and get into it. Until then, a thread! What are looking forward to, when are you getting it, and on what? I can't wait to feed Fruit Fuckers some oranges; that's my # 1 priority. And instead of staying up for it, I'm going to sleep early then wake up around the time it'll be available for downloading and get it from Live.

    Unfortunately I will be at work for release, so I'll have to wait until afterward to download it. But I have my MS points ready and a-waiting.

    Wow, I actually never thought of doing that. Thanks for mentioning it. I have to work on Wednesday morning, so that would really be my only way of being able to play it as soon as it's released.

    I'm just excited to read Tycho's text! I'll make sure to spend as much time as possible doing that -- basking in the verbiage -- to prolong my Rainslick experience.

    Completely off topic but was just reading the comments over at xbox360achievements <dot> org regardong the PA game.

    Lots of negative comments by what I can only assume to be young teenagers concerning the price and the distribution method.

    You'd think people would be like "Wow, it's so much more expensive so it must be a much more fulfilling XBLA purchase." But no. People are just pessimistic by nature, I guess.

    I'll probably get it on the 360 first, then the pc at a later date. That said, this has really crept up on me, and I'm not sure I'll get it right away because of GTA IV and Rock Band coming out this Friday.

    I'm going to play demos on both platforms and make up my mind.

    I'm leaning towards the 360, but at the back of my mind, Hothead/PA get less money.

    Mainly because it won't run Sam and Max at a respectable rate.

    It seems the fact that its on XBLA and not an actual DVD release coupled with the 1600MSP price tag is turning some people off. I can't say I blame them 100%, but there's no way in hell I'm not playing PA's first video game.

    It may not be a popular sentiment, but my recent philosophy is that if it doesn't need to be on a PC, then I'm going to go with the Xbox 360 version. It's a personal thing but I like to keep the games on my PC to a minimum since I use it heavily for photography and music. Playing games on my PC distracts me from more important pursuits. When I sit down to my 360, I know it's to play a game and I've decided that because I have the time/motivation for it.

    As far as complaining about the price, $20 is a fair deal. I think whiners on XBLA are spoiled by cheap games. They could have easily gone the hard copy route and charged double. I spend $20 going out to dinner with the girlfriend (and that's getting off cheap) or going to a movie. $20 for 8-10 hours of play is a deal in my book, especially since I'll probably play through it more than once.

    $20/1600 MSP for an RPG? That's a steal. I'm buying on my 360 a few days after launch, maybe a week- it looks to be an amazing game, but the servers are going to be pretty much wanged for a day or two with the initial release- plus there might be some bugs that show up that could fuck up the game or console.

    Even though my 360 is currently kaput, I'm going to wait and get it for the 360. Achievement whore haha, but seriously it's just going to be 'cooler' playing the game on a console.

    I'll be getting it for my Mac, as it's all I have. My only problem is that I have but forty pounds in my bank, and the Cambridge Real Ale festival is in full swing.

    I may have to wait for my next cash injection in June, and play the demo relentlessly until then.

    Edit: Oh fuck - Indiana Jones on the 22nd, as well.
