I fuckin' use my phones. I don't need to have something extremely pretty jangling around in my pocket with my change. I could see myself buying an iPod Touch and keeping it in a case, but my phone? I dunno.
The Chocolate I bought last year is all fuckin scratched to hell. Seems like it'd be a shame to do that to an iPhone.
I was worried about that with my Treo, but I just started putting change and keys in my other pocket.
so I was asking about this in another thread but this one seems more apt
can mac computers play games pretty well. I know you can run windows on them now so compatibility isn't really a problem. I don't play that many different games at once so space wouldn't really be an issue either. games are pretty much the only thing that is preventing me from getting some sort of mac computer.
and please this is not a mac vs pc thing, I know what a pc is like and am now enquiring about macs
You can get the wow client for mac and you can emulate windows. I use Parallels, other people use Boot Camp, I've heard of others using VMWare.
Pretty sure he's talking about hardware.
Apple has been adopting more universalish hardware, from what I've seen, so I'd say that yes, Macs play games well.
I fully intend to play SC2 on this MacBook Pro, for instance.
by reducing the price and making it more accessible to the plebes, doesn't that inherently make it less hip?
People still complain about Starbucks being hip. "Hip" doesn't actually have anything to do with the product, it's just a word people use to criticize when they can't think of anything better -- like "smug".
Smug has a very clear definition, I suggest you look it up.

Left hip pocket is now designated phone pocket.
crazy huh?
Will I still have to pay inordinate fees to use it on a plan?
Edit: nm...85 isn't bad.
Secret Satan
and it will actually be useful for things besides looking pretty
that's another plus
Rank you bring joy to my life, one post at a time
Christ I wish unlimited data was cheap or even fucking available in Canada.
ahahahaha

fuck me I must have one.
any word on a UK release?
i held off on an iphone because, well, who the hell can afford to be an apple early adopter.
but man, $199 is probably going to translate to £150-200 which I can totally swing.
my current phone is so old and close to dead. i get, like, 15 minutes of talk time at this point.
I will never ever dump my keypad for a touch screen.
they're releasing this two days before my wedding subtle hint what do you know
unlimited data is rad as hell, though
Eh, I would probably use it for a month or two then forget about it
yeah, as slick as it looks I just don't think I'd be happy with a touch screen
are games actually playable on these things?
like, does the touchscreen actually work for games at all, or is it too clumsy to work?
because I don't know what I'd do while I poop if I didn't have my motorcycle game.
well you can see it with the flowers colored next time I'm up
i doubt it'll be $199 outright
I'm not even afraid about fronting the bill.
I'm afraid of being able to physically acquire one.
yes! as a matter of fact they demo'd a racing game with the iphone SDK presentation today.
I've got the 24 inch iMac. It's pretty great, once you get used to the ridiculous size of the screen. Makes porn intense
but you can't use it without a contract, unless you hack it or whatever, so yeah you have to sign a two-year contract
holy shit yes.
is it being tied to a provider again like the first iteration, which i believe is on O2 only.
Yeah, this.
Does the thing vibrate or something when you hit keys? Tactile feedback is pretty important.
never mind
which is why I can't wait for this thing to hit

the more I think about it, the less I care
I'm happy with my phone, it does what I need it to and doesn't cost me a fortune in data plans and shit
I'm good
