i did something really crazy to my buddy list in miranda, so that there is just a list of buddies with no window or anything, just a list of names. i have no idea how i did it though.
It is the best looking and (maybe?) most customizeable out of the group. Insanely easy to use too. Miranda would be the closest thing to it on windows/linux but it is a pain in the dick to customize.
I am using digsby right now becase all of that extra stuff customization is awesome, as is being able to type in the alert window.
