NXE kind of looks like if Microsoft said "Hey, our interface sucks, lets rip off the XMB... and Apple's coverflow... If we combine the two no one will know we took 'em"
While most looks much better than what we have now, the friends "list" thing looks needlessly retarded.
Neither the XMB or Apple's coverflow are new or remotely original ideas. Actually, if we are being massively reductionist here, Microsoft beat Sony to the XMB style anyways years and years ago.
Remember, it isn't who has the idea, it is who executes on that idea best.

I didn't say there was anything inherently wrong with doing that. I was just saying what I thought it looked like. Since I like the XMB, I applaud the change, though I pretty well don't like coverflow, so that part of the change can bite it.
How can you refuse to use NXE or any derivation thereof? You don't have a choice in the matter.
Because sooner or later, someone will use the word 'nixy' in reference to it, and I will die a little inside.

Hahaha, no worries, it always confuses me when someone else changes theirs, and the Joker-face was pretty creepy. Now I'm all psyched for some ODST action so will probably keep this until that wanes.

I think a 3D Castlevania (that isn't a one on one fighter) could be very good. With games like Devil May Cry and whatnot out there, the developing skill exists to create a good 3D third person adventure. I think the problem is making it a good 3D third person adventure that still feels like Castlevania. None of the 3D iterations of this series have had that "Castlevania feel". With any luck, they'll make it 2D.
