I can't even look at the screenshots, and wouldn't even be reading this thread if they weren't spoilered. So yeah, no Deadly Creatures for me. I have enough mental and emotional stress as it is trying to coexist with black widows, brown recluses, and bark scorpions, out here in the desert.
I'm allergic to many types of insect toxins and almost had to have my leg amputated when I was in elementary school due to my body not being able to resist the spread of venom from a spider bite.
Spiders REALLY creep me the fuck out. That said, the video game wouldn't bug me too much if the room was well lit. If the lights were off however, my brain would probably start to play tricks on me and I'd start to feel like things are crawling all over me.
I've got to admit, I find this situation interesting. I can't really think of any other game that people have said they won't play based on the playable characters.

Army of Two. I would never want to play that game, purely based on the characters you control and I don't think I'm alone in that.
I don't really like the creepy crawlers either, but I think the game might help me come to terms with that. Think of it an inexpensive virtual fear therapist.

That's what I was thinking. When you play as something, you start to identify with it. No matter how cutesy, how horrible, how sacchrine or ugly, in the end it becomes "gotta keep my dude from getting hurt and hurt the other dudes." You might be afraid of the enemies, but you fear for the safety of your spider, and have fun swinging from wall to wall on your web.
Only if I suddenly notice on one me, because other than that I have no problems with them. That said, I'm not a crazy bastard like my 11th grade science teacher who picked up a fucking black widow and carried it out of the school lunch room.

True.
Also Final Fantasy X, Kingdom Hearts (the humans, not the Disney chars), and Psychonauts.
He was over 13 and wasn't cel-shaded (which, to me, completely kill the point of, and the mood that I expect from a Zelda game). Oh, and his clothes were either competely stupid or way too detailed and overdecorated for their own good, or both at the same time. But most importantly, it was his eyes. Can't put it into words, but the eyes creep me out. Almost like how I would react to Deadly Creatures if I were an arachnophobe.
The game was saved by the Light Spirits and Zant though. Is it a coincidence that they are the most Wind Waker-esque designs in the game? Absolutely not.

Huh, I preferred Twilight Princess 'cause it looked more like, y'know. Ocarina of Time.
Oh, and the implied Midna/Wolf!Link Master/submissive relationship.
:winky:
Wind Waker was the one that made me think 'Enh, I don't like how Link looks,' most of the time, but it grew on me. But Dangerous Creatures? That looks like so much AWESOME. Though I wouldn't play it if someone that said they were arachnophobic was around, 'cause that'd be mean.
Holy crap, did anyone see the new Deadly Creatures shots on IGN? It may have been mentioned prior (I haven't kept track of the thread) but damn that's some nice eye candy.
Fatal Frame is the game for me. I've bought and played 'em all. Surprisingly it's one of the few games my wife loves to watch me play. I'll be sitting there trying to figure out puzzles, and she'll be beside me.....peeking through her fingers at the screen

It's just not for me.
I can't think of anything to add to this that wouldn't make for a retarded back and forth argument that nobody in their right mind would want to read.
ooh, I wonder if they'll have different skins/costumes, just for replay and all that - I love me some cute little fuzzy jumping spiders.

Personally, I'll look into buying Deadly Creatures at some point.

It appears you get to swing around like spiderman... but you're actually a spider. And fight a fucking snake. That is awesome.

Considering it's Twilight Princess...Wolf form?
I don't know why he'd think that, Wolf form was awesome.

Also, that's the stupidest god damn reason not to play a Zelda game, unless you don't like Zelda games in general.

I suspect that one occurred to a lot of people.
This is when you horse it up.
