I love how I made people nervous on day 4 on both the Rep and Ind boards. Sorry for not posting enough to leave suspicion off me. Although I'd point out, the games I posted a lot in the past, I had a very important role
You definitely had an important role in this one DeShadowC We couldn't have gotten as far as we did without you either. Though we never got around to confirming if you were with us or not, we knew you had our back.
EDIT: and Infidel, did you see the day 2 posts in the Democratic board? I almost had you vigged day 1, but I felt a pang of sympathy... I have to go with my gut from now on. lol
A FAUX News Special Report shows that the turning point for the two party loss was the overwhelming support for Prop 3, a bill to Kill B:L O'RLY. More at 11.
Thanks for the kind words, guys. I had fun and I hope you did too!
But NO WAI did I get us killed FreeAgent, since you're the one who started the bandwagon on me. Don't get all Bill O'Reilly on me. :P
It's quite odd in this phalla though. The Republicans were acting like real Democrats, while the Democrats were the real bloodthirsty Republicans. I suspect RL affiliations had an early affect on independent support as well. :winky:
I'm still disappointed by the lack of Barackula Zombama.
Didn't anyone tell you, B:L?
Half the fun of a Phalla is killing you and watching you react!
I was also sad to both win (tie) the cyan vote and get killed. That is not how a modern day political process should work ]:<
I thought you were either a Dem or Independant because you were stealing votes from Oats.
Also sorry to the Republicans for not putting up much of a fight on Friday, but I had been out drinking since 5pm and when I got in I was battered and just wanted to sleep

Hello...I think my conversion may have swung it a little...though it's nice to have been on the winning team
Well, most of the winning people this phalla were no longer in their original group. So I'm going with "change is good, and conversion is godly" as the takeaway.
I think I was one of the few with conversions though.
Also, so long as I had a converted I could kill and I'd ressurect three days after dying.
I came back to life on the last day, the conversion three days prior hitting a mafia member who handed me a list of everyone and their role. No one dared to vote outside of the party line, so one of the three mafia left died to that. I converted the second and killed the third. Sadly I died shortly thereafter.
We won though.

Yeah, conversion is insanely powerful.
You remove a member of an opposing faction (a 'kill'),
You gain a member of your own faction (better than a guard by far), and
You potentially get a free pass into the other faction's boards, perhaps by someone who has already been seered. (This has the potential to be equal to many seers at once).
Sooooo yeah. Daily conversions need to be really really closely monitored for balance. This particular conversion mechanic was powerful but not really game breaking, since there weren't alot of seers and not being able to convert specials, and the two main factions had a real chance of winning early in the game, before the independents got going. The independents had to get fairly lucky in the beginning to avoid getting hit, and I think the pubbies were pretty close to victory for a bit there.
Aye, it's that informational gain that makes it so valuable on top of that all. The status of every player that the one you converted knew about is now your information. And in the game of Phalla, information is everything it seems.

*edit. Your IMs on day 2 was it? Yeah I thought you were either insane, or a spy at that point.
lol! Monkeyfeet
Yeah, I felt kind of insane when the game started. I had serious election fever, and I was roleplaying like a madman.
I seered you. Cause you were playing too 'willing to help the village tee hee' for me.
something struck me as wrong about you.
and I was sooooo right.
Free!!! I'm so sorry you died!!! It seems like every night that I talk to you in any game, you die!
This makes me so sad. I even pouted a little!

thanks monkey, that was loads of fun!
And I achieved victory - which was also nice.
That's it kids - role playing stupidity and bestiality WORKS in phalla. Remember that one.
'Tis true. And FL.
It's usually moreso. Not being able to convert specials is a pretty big weakness, usually it's pretty much "anything goes."
Yes, it's a very powerful ability if used correctly.

Don't make me start taking notes from Drez!
I'm crazy enough to do it, you know!!
Well, for my part, I'd find that just even more amusing. *grin*
