As for discussions of gameplay, I would voice that you consider having many specials in the game since it tends to keep people relatively active in the game throughout. Even if you don't want to copy what Kusu/RBB did where everyone was a special in some way, you could have multiple groups of stonecutters for example.
Yeah, the empirical evidence of the past few games totally supports this.
Oh wait.
While no game can beat the 100+ pages the Rishiri game had, the red scare did fairly well with 9 days of play and 50 some pages while the New York vs Sicily games were just some quick games that not many really participated heavily in with 12 and 14 pages apiece.
While I'm pretty much nothing more than a lurker, I'm guessing that Dyna could probably make the game interesting enough to get a lot of participation. I just think that giving people some useful function other than a vote would also help spur people to pay attention and to participate.
I'm just trying to offer up suggestions that I think might make the game more interesting and fun for all.
I'd like to play this one. This is one of my favorite settings.
I will voice my complaint about the conversion mechanics from the Lovecraft game. I felt like it gave the monsters an unfair advantage (of course, I lost the game because of it, so I might be a bit biased). Anyway, I'm excited to see this take shape.

Actually, you won because of it.*

He was such a weird dude. I need to learn more about him. Hell, he sounds kind of like me, but I bet he was way better looking. Stupid Greeks and their classic good looks.

Thats what I said! I seemed to be a vocal minority though. I wonder if I should do a read through of the Odyssey and The Illiad before the game starts, to get in the mood.

This sounds like an awesome idea! Can't go wrong with those Greeks. 'Phallaponnesian' is great too
You might want to check out Frank Miller's graphic novel '300' for some inspiration, he's got some really great scenes of Spartans/Arcadians vs. Persians.
I think that the internet has been for years on the path to creating what is essentially an electronic Necronomicon: A collection of blasphemous unrealities so perverse that to even glimpse at its contents, if but for a moment, is to irrevocably forfeit a portion of your sanity.

You have been blessed with the favor of Dionysus, the god of wine and sex. While he is also the patron god of agriculture and theater, his true influence lies in the spread of debauchery.
Once per night, you may choose one person to come under the influence of alcohol. That person will prance around naked and singing, and generally make a fool of themselves. In the process, your target will reveal their entire role to the public, along with several.....private factoids. This works equally on traitors and the faithful, though, so use discretion. Or don't.
Sweet!

I have a new soccer blog The Minnow Tank. Reading it psychically kicks Sepp Blatter in the bean bag.

So while you're tipping your entire hand, what are your character's goals, so I may promptly thwart them.

...and then a frantic herdsman would be allowed into the town as a replacement.
I approve of this wrathful sentiment.

Awesome theme, Dyna.

Thank you.
Actually very similar fellow to Aaron Burr.
Hey FWG, think we will finally win one this time?

That extra gamma looks mighty suspicious.
I should have an answer by the time sign-ups officially start, I hope. How big of a game are we talking about here? no cap?

Hi.
I didn't say this to be clever.
Signups aren't on yet.

But seriously, it was pretty clever.
