So I bought the id super pack mostly for Return to Castle Wolfenstein and also because it has all the id games in one convenient Steam package, I mean, shit, nothing wastes time better than loading up Quake on hard, giving yourself all the guns, and jumping into that shit headfirst, obeying the golden rule of Quake: never stop moving.
But man, when customizing the graphics for RTCW it crashed and wouldn't load up again. So I deleted it and am reinstalling and Goddamnit. Tomorrow I will remember to make a backup on Steam before I fuck around with the graphics, something with OpenGL fucked up so I'm guessing this is gonna be a trial-and-error mission.
I did some preliminary tests with the multiplayer client though so I think I got it mostly figured out.
I just want to shoot some nazis with my thompson and light zombies on fire with my flamethrower, Goddamnit!
Edit: I also bought Call of Duty 2 because it was cheap and I never got around to getting it when it came out.
There's a couple PA servers, you can get the information in the G&T thread. I can't play on those anymore, though, because I do nothing but die and there's a lot of obnoxious memes that happen on their servers.
Civ 4 is really awesome but doesn't really shine until you settle down for several hours to play a good multiplayer game with friends.
Although after the game you may no longer consider them friends anymore. Vent is not recommended.
I'd advise getting Colonization. It's essentially Civ 4 but it is a little smaller scale, with some improvements to the basic mechanics here and there. Civ 4 is like the bigger brother, and if you are new to Civ incredibly daunting. I mean when you get in to the later stages one turn can take an hour real time in the larger maps.
I wouldn't go for Civ Rev if you want the console version. It's good, very good but really very condensed by comparison and well, just not to my tastes and perhaps much shorter in replay.

pretty cool
without vent how am I supposed to mock people for not being fast enough to build pyramids
The G&T group is much larger and, while they can be huge nerds, they are overall safer and more fun to play with than pub groups.
Secret Satan
Which out of those 2 is the good one?

Played through that part last night...jesus. Got into my dreams.
How does Bioshock not have a soundtrack for sale?
That old timey music is so nice when it comes on
Because I found out they released it as a free download and downloaded it.
I also found a page that lists the old songs and didnt realise they were licenced and actually exsisted. So I might look into that some more.
because it sounds lame as shit and the only people on my steam list are from here
You can invite people to groups that aren't on your friend's list. They'll just go searching for members with the search engine.
Your in-game companion sounds like RL-3 for fucks sake.
And then the website flagging up as not a steam website, but a fake steam website trying to get your details?
This guy was from a PA group...
somebody named sasuke likely had their account stolen, and the thief is now using it to try and trick people
That's precisely who it was.
