The last track on the Protomen record is a big disappointment
I pretty much stop listening after Sons of Fate
DAMMIT PIPE
It's true, Fari
Due Vendetta isn't a bad song but putting it right after the fucking huge musical robotgasm that is Sons of Fate was a poor move
I always think of the second to last track as the end of the movie, and the last track is what plays when the credits roll
Ok, late as hell, but this. This right here.
I've exposed more people than I can count to The Protomen, and everyone says the same thing about Due Vendetta.
I've always treated that song as pretty much a bonus track. It's obvious it doesn't quite fit in with the whole rock-opera story line they had going on, but goddamn if that song isn't entertaining as hell.
Side note, second album apparently in the works? Maybe? God I hope so.
Act II is on its way and there have already been a couple of songs from it released: search around for "Breaking Out" and "Father of Death"
Dance of Dragons was supposed to come out in 2006. Its 2009 and it still looks doubtful if it will be released this year and he has two other books to do in the series.
I enjoyed the Boondock Saints the first time I watched it
On subsequent viewings, the flaws were increasingly apparent
And then I saw that documentary about the guy who made it and how he was a complete cock to everyone and squandered all the success he was handed and basically whizzed it all right down his leg
So now I don't really like the movie
I don't see why the director's character should make you not like a movie he's directed
I mean, clearly that's a factor for you, so I ain't gonna give you shit for it
but I don't really care what a director is like as a person when I'm watching one of his films

I'm just gonna trust Martin.

Ultima ended pretty poorly. Granted, 8 wasn't very good, but 9 was a terrible shitpile.
Although the original planned ending for Ultima 9 wasn't much better. Well, maybe a little.
Avatar casts Armageddon, the world is destroyed EXCEPT for Skara Brae which survives as some sort of floating asteroid city zooming through space like the Boston album covers. Seriously.
I hadn't read the previous page and I don't keep up on whether or not Martin ate six cheeseburgers and wrote another page of the book, so I wasn't aware of the joke.
Although it was kinda iffy all the way through. The Dark Knight Returns gave a pretty satisfying ending to Batman's story for me (even though it's non-cannon).
mainly the ending is terrible because after a long funny film full of relentless avarice and slapstick the people behind the film felt the need to shoehorn in a sickeningly sacharrin overarching moral lesson out of nowhere and at the last second

This is why I don't like reading book series until they are completed
I don't like to waste large amounts of time on something that might not even have a halfway decent conclusion

Incredibly funny movie that spends the last few minutes shitting itself inside out.
