So I watched Up In the Air last night. It was pretty depressing.
but was it good? I hear it was good.
It was very good. It would probably crash horribly without a lead as charming and likable as Clooney, but hey. I liked it a lot.
The best thing Clooney's done is still Michael Clayton, though.
Bah, he still hasn't passed his brilliant run on Roseanne.
Didn't he end up beating up Roseanne's sister? And then Roseanne found out about it and Dan nonchalantly left, gave him a beating and was then picked up by the cops?
Oh and I don't really like Vera Farmiga. Mostly because I thought she was bad in the Departed and I was upset she got to have faux sex with Leonardo DiCaprio.

Right, whatever the hell is up with me is getting worse and I shouldn't be doing electrochemistry in this state. I'm going home. To bed. With lucazade.

Homogeneous distribution of your varieties of amuse-gueule
if the order of the numbers doesn't matter than 321 and 123 are identical because the both contain the numbers 1,2 and 3.
You're right.
But isn't the formula correct? I'm no expert - this is just something I came up with while bored a while ago and you sound like you know more about this than me.
I had a scare last night. I was upstairs and I caught a fragment of movie dialogue echoing up from the living room.
"...cop shocks, cop brakes..."
And hey, I thought, it's The Blues Brothers. So I go downstairs and the missus is watching it. I settle down next to her and then, like it's nothing, she casually mentions that she's never seen this movie before and is it any good?
Friends, I didn't know whether to laugh, cry, or rip the engagement ring right off her finger and throw it off the balcony.

There are so many movies the prewife hasn't seen that sometimes it physically hurts
but it is balanced out by her having played every SNES game ever made and being a huge "Nintendo" fangirl.
Like I think I liked it but I'm not really sure that it was that great?
It was funny, had great performances, looked good, had an original premise, didn't kowtow to the need for a happy ending and was squarely aimed at an adult audience. All big plusses.

I salute your will power for not just offing her on the spot.

Yeah I can see all that. Maybe if I were older I would have liked it better. I think I identify with Natalie too much.

I suck at math. Where does the divide by 6 come from?
you mean order doesn't matter.
if the order of the numbers doesn't matter than 321 and 123 are identical because the both contain the numbers 1,2 and 3.
more or less.
I like this vision of me.
I didn't think that much of Michael Clayton, really.
I still haven't seen that. in time.
And Ocean's 13.
And Batman & Robin.
Didn't he end up beating up Roseanne's sister? And then Roseanne found out about it and Dan nonchalantly left, gave him a beating and was then picked up by the cops?

jealous of errrryone in that scene
I don't know, the formula is n!/(r!(n-r)!)
that was the best film I saw last year I think. So good. Damn shame it didn't win all of the Oscars.
Like I think I liked it but I'm not really sure that it was that great?

Unique pairs: n(n-1)/2
Unique triples: n(n-1)(n-2)/6
Unique sets of four: n(n-1)(n-2)(n-3)/24

Look at the lower half of his resume. Mostly TV shows up until the late 90s, and even then, he was still on ER.
the correct answer is: throw her off the balcony
That was a different boyfriend.

once i found out it was by the juno guy i avoided it like the plague
that movie's dialogue was like my kryptonite

I am shocked she'd never seen it before, though.
yep.
if order matters and you can repeat numbers:
n^r
if order matters and you can't repeat numbers:
n!/((n-r)!)
if order doesn't matter and you can repeat numbers:
(n+r-1)!/(r!(n-1)!)

I thought a lady wrote Juno.
Hm there were some moments in Up In the Air where the dialogue bugged me, but not that much.
I have a lot of trouble getting into movies.
a lady did write Juno
Yeah I can see all that. Maybe if I were older I would have liked it better. I think I identify with Natalie too much.
that guy didn't write Juno, though, so this doesn't make sense.
Robert Pattinson is 24. Uma Therman is 40.
:?
We can do this...
gonna see it
