how long can you stay on indefinite vacation before things start to get really hairy?
about $65k worth
i guess plus whatever i get from unemployment
it should last me for a while if i'm able to stay frugal
still i am starting to feel like i would like to get back to work
hopefully now that the holidays are over people will be looking to hire again
being unemployed for an extended period of time starts to feel weird. at least it did for me. and i'm not even the kind of person that typically defines myself by my occupation.

yeah i worked pretty hard at trying to build up a nest, esp given that frankie has a really hard time saving anything at all. as long as she keeps her job and manages to avoid spending too freely, we should be fine for a while.
i hadn't really realized how much i was disliking my job until i was laid off though. i have been kind of enjoying unemployment, but we'll see if i still feel okay about it once frankie goes back to work.

Our neighbors have gotten into some sort of screaming routine, but I think it's a mother and daughter and the daughter might be a bit slow, hard to tell. One time I almost called the cops.
They don't have indoor plumbing, but they can make irrigation canals flow uphill

The hill is hollowed out. Inside the hill, a goat walks along a treadmill, generating the electricity needed to power the pumps to get the water uphill.
