I've had this game on my radar for awhile, can't wait for it to finally drop. BLOPS just isn't doing the trick these days, y'know?

If you could add me to the 360 tag, I'd be much obliged. "Merton Blask" is the GT.

I checked out some videos. I'm cautiously optimistic now. I love playing combat roles objective based shooters, and judging from the last thread there's plenty of vacant spots for that here. :)

Will rent, and buy depending on how the game feels.

TF2 spychecking will make it's way into Brink in some form. I mean, how much more viable is the operative over the spy?

Considering how he does stuff with enemy corpses? Somewhere between a lot more and a lot less. I never had any sucess in W:ET with them, but then again, I suck at the spy too

If all the information we've been getting from the developers is true, Brink maps should be chock full of objectives that Operatives can interact with. I don't think they'll simply be "the disguise class".

Really, as we get closer I'm quite excited for the game. I want it to be good and fun, and I will do whatever I can to try it out so that I can see that it's good and fun and buy it asap.

I'll hopefully be getting this, not sure if I'll be on PC or 360, but I am definitely up for some MP.

Played a few rounds at Eurogamer Expo last year, and it was a tonne of fun. Splash Damage are good people, and I hope that the PSN troubles doesn't effect their sales on PS3. Or at least anyone not getting it because of the PSN stuff picks it up on one of the other platforms.

Just an FYI, release date delivery is not available to post office boxes. I couldn't figure out why I wasn't seeing the option for release date delivery, and that was the reason I was given. So I am now having it delivered to my apartment.

new bit of info-- team work works for objectives too-- if you and another engineer both do the same thing, say build an mg nest, it will get done quicker than if you did it yourself

I'm getting more and more interested in Brink the more I see about it. Just curious: The PC version that can be purchased through Steam - Do we know what kind of DRM it will be using? I've seen some rumblings of Steamworks, but I'm not sure if they'll be layering anything on top of that, or even if they will in fact be using it.

So, how does the multiplayer work exactly? I know there are a number of objectives across the various maps and you sort of choose which one you'd like to go for. Is the team that completes its objectives first the winner? Are the objectives linear? Like control points in TF2.

Also, the game has 3 different things to play: The single player campaign, the challenge modes and multiplayer maps/objective gameplay.

Is this info correct? Game looks like a lot of fun.

Actually, a question I have now is that do you need to have an objective selected to do it? For example, do you need to switch away from your main objective to build an MG nest or wall or whatever?

If it's anything like ET, there will be several phases to a round, with the objectives changing as a main objective is completed and the round moves to the next phase.

Yeah, it seems thee are several phases. The different sides have different, competing objectives. The newest Get Smart movie showed a little bit "transport this object" objective gameplay, which looks sort of like CTF. And there are escort objectives, destroy/build this objective while the other team tries to stop you.
