The experimental rules for the new forge world space marine flyer are available now if you're interested, it's basically just a Stormraven which can carry more dudes (I think) and with alternative weapon options for a slightly higher points cost.
Eight more dudes, one less dreadnought. Additionally it looks boss as all fuck and infinitely superior to the storm raven. It's also capable of transporting entire Wolf Guard Terminator squads, or even maxed out Blood Claws with a Terminator Guard to keep them in line. This is useful.
Also - Digital ink means I can go weeks without taking it out of my backpack, using it for 8+ hours while at work.
I'm so pissed, my DW project is falling behind because the oncoming crew's supervisor is a mega cunt and apparently hates me for no apparant reason. Been fucking me like an underage catholic everyday.

Personally, I'm waiting for the iPad 4th or 5th gen, whichever switches over to that Mirasol display thing, before I consider the dataslate/PADD concept fully realised. Hopefully Intel will have that lovely tuned remote power thing they're working on commercialised by then, along with proper UWB NFC everywhere.
Recharging every time you walk into a building, without using any form of physical connection, in conjunction with a display that requires zero power to maintain a static colour image? Bliss. Hell, maybe 'having a battery' will become an optional extra, for explorers and other weirdos, someday.

Which Raptors? The chapter Forge World makes use of in the Badab and Taros books or the Raptor Legion that emerged in WD in the eighties and promptly disappeared again?
No one seems to want to explain why some of these 40k novels cost so damn much on amazon.
There is no rhyme or reason for it man. I often see stuff as I'm posting books on there that is laughable. Hundreds of books selling for one cent, while other copies of the same book are posted for over a hundred. It's not about logic, it's people posting a "lotto ticket". Since Amazon offers 1-click buying, they are just hoping people ignorantly click it and pay them hundreds of percents more then the value of the book.

Played several games today using the Forge World Eldar toys. Two Warp Hunters and a WraithSeer. Along with Eldrad (Yes, I use Eldrad!), a Wraithlord and ten Wraithguard. (And a bunch of other pansy space elves) The Warp Hunters are bad @$$. The D-Cannons are a Large Blast which are Barrage. So, it can indirect fire and you take cover saves based on the placement of the hole.... If you hit, you remove bad guys. Pretty deadly. Even with full scatter (no subtraction of Ballistic Skill due to it being a Barrage Weapon) The Wraithseer's D-Cannon is only a Small Blast, but still removes enemies by the handfull. And he's no slouch in Close Combat either!
Can't wait to see what goodies come in the future Eldar Codex!

Also, since I can now take that stormraven thingy you can bet your ass I'll be buying one and making a space wolf version. I do dislike that it doesn't come stock with the 4 missiles or the multimelta but oh well, I can put 20 fucking guys in there.
