    Just went to go download me some Gruul and I see that Battle for Middle Earth is available now. I don't have enough points for both and I'm pretty much broke.

    So many decisions.

    Also I've been thinking but there are no big problems with 2013 other than netcode being wierd at times. I really would like to see them add the decks from the previous versions and then start adding 2014 though deck packs.

    What is Battle for Middle Earth? Is that the MOBA game seen in ads?

    I doubt they add 2014 decks. Maybe one related to the set following RtR.

    The games are dependant on the core sets and marketing from WotC.

    Its not the matter of it being cheap. Its the matter of losing the decks I've grown fond of and have tweaked just the way I like.

    I agree. But the answer from WotC is to play paper magic or MTGO. Drink the kool-aid.

    I'm not that thirsty so I play DotP.

    I used to play paper magic but its so expensive. I have a wife and 2 kids now. I can't afford to be dropping 200+ bucks for every xpac.

    I agree, but that's the game. Mark Rosewater has a family too. :)

    There have been some comments from the M:tG community about not being a female-friendly game. A prominently male community has a lot to do with that but the game is a f-ing expensive hobby considering that competitive play is where the attention comes from. That's a big barrier of entry. #firstworldproblems :P

    Seriously, what is the point of Silvercoat Lion existing in the core set when you could make Ajani's Pridemate, an excellent card for a new player, readily available? Beacuse WotC needs people to buy starters, boosters, duel decks, special editions and join FNM.

    I played against a player who used Nicol Bolas decks's o.O . How to unlock? Have you unlocked all the cards and have completed all campaigns.

    Hax. What else? :)

    I tried both the need decks and they are nice. gonna stick with my favorites. I don't feel like unlocking all the cards.

    Release dates for Deck Pack 3.

    * 1/8/13 - PSN (US)
    * 1/9/13 - Steam, Xbox, & PSN (Europe)
    * 1/10/13 - iPad

    I was interested in the Dimir deck but I don't understand what took them so long to release this one. I kinda lost the interest by now.

    It seems Dimir and Mana Mastery are available on PSN. Later they will be available on XBLM/Steam.

    I don't like that Dimir took so long to have a deck. :?

    I'm happy I finally get to play a UB deck. But damn, Mana Mastery is mean. Seems it is the new Sorin.

    Hurrah. I was wondering when we'd hear about a new one.

    Please give me a werewolf deck this time.

    (There won't be a werewolf deck.)

    This has totally replaced actual Magic cards for me. When it hits like 6ish in the office we all pull out our iPads and play a few games. We used to actually keep a handful of decks in the office, but now we only use our iPads. I can't wait for the next release but I hope that the iPad version will work with two-headed giant.

    Also, do you have better ideas for the thread title? :)

    I will also grab it on my android as they are releasing it there, also, this time around. Fantastic!

    “The Magic: The Gathering Duels of the Planeswalkers franchise has been engaging and exciting gamers since we launched in 2009 and continues to be the best way for new players to learn how to play Magic,” said Magic executive producer Worth Wollpert. “This year, with the addition of a fifth platform – Android – along with new features and a more focused integration between online and offline play, we continue to deliver a best-in-class gaming experience.”

    I will update then OP when more information is released.

    I think I like the current thread title. Other options:

    - "Step aside Blue! Red is bringing fiery back."
    - "Go home Blue, you are drunk. Red is in charge."
    - "Go home Jace, you are drunk. Chandra is here to take your place."
    - "Chandra: bringing fiery back and setting the roof on fire (the nieghboorhood too)."

    Polygon has an article: http://www.polygon.com/2013/3/22/4134630/magic-the-gatherings-duels-of-the-planeswalkers-2014-coming-this

    A game demo is gonna be available in PAX, it's coming to Android systems and Chandra stars in the campaign.

    Duels of the Planeswalkers has a story? I thought they just got a neat intro sequence and that it got left at that.
