I do enjoy rock climbing and multi-day hikes and the like, and kayaking/canoeing, but I've seen too much damage done by mountain bikers to woodland, grassland and mountain sides to view it with anything other than contempt.
I downhill/freeride longboard, which is the antithesis of the guys with mall boards who carry the damn things half the time.
Hitting 30 mph on a piece of machined wood is crazy stuff.
My main board is a Clutch Lambchop. Outstanding micro-drop symmetrical deck.
Those wheels are a hair under 70mm in this picture and they've worn down a little since. I don't entirely thrash my wheels to the core every few weeks like some of my buddies do, but they do wear in a bit.
It's not really a sport but urban exploration looks pretty cool. I'm lazy as shit and I live in a small town with nothing left to explore (I did all that as a kid/teenager) so I've never really done it but if I lived in a city I would consider it.
Or if I lived near an abandoned missile silo, I'd be hella down for that.

Actually planning on doing this tomorrow down at the park.
Was playing disc golf and found some interesting little areas I want to go and explore around. Lot of stuff off the beaten path and such.
Was going to do it today but got tired from the 100+ degree weather and an hour of climbing up and down stupid hills cause my frisbee kept rolling

He hit a pebble and flew forward about 10 feet and skidded
just got up and ran into this forest nearby cursing for like 5 minutes
comes back out, does it again, nails the whole thing
wish I had it on video
yea it was funny cause the rock was the only one on the whole road
and somehow he managed to hit with the wheel
my friends know how to injure themselves pretty well

I'm not a skater myself but a few of my friends are
I don't have the confidence in my balance to be able to ride one really
I have one friend who's sixteen and near pro. Like, I have seen him do a hang ten nose slide. That's a trick that I didn't even know could be done.
yea, I'm not too into skateboarding but I love bike riding. used to do it a lot when I was a kid and I really want to get back into it

Watching downhill mountain-biking videos is always fun. Those dudes are much crazier than I.

Fuck me it's not cheap. Anyone recommend a quality resort that won't annihilate my wallet?
When I get my own place I kinda want to set up a slacklinein the backyard and a little bouldering wall to practice on.
