The last upgrade is blocked, so it stops at 9* atm.
Seregios is interesting in that breaking its body parts directly weakens its attacks. Cut the tail, break the head, etc. and scale shots will be smaller and lose the third hit.
I think I will put up a room to farm sergios. my obituary over forged is doing OK but I'd like a better armor until I can start making some sets and sergios x seems a good option.

Regios X is pretty decent for early G-rank, that's what I used, I like the razor sharp/ESP combo skill 'cos it means you can gem in Sharpness+ without losing razor sharp.
It gets a little eclipsed by later G armours, though I suppose that's only to be expected.

Man, I had the worst luck in ages in a public room.
I created a room to do the pink Rathian Urgent, he isn't difficult and I could have done it on my own but I wanted to do a quick game before making some dinner. I had a four man team, in the first round the same dude died twice which was no big deal, shit happens. In the second round two different dudes died in the first 5 minutes, literately 10 seconds from each other and 2 minutes later the third dude died. It sucked but bad luck happens to everyone, two of them leave the game and after a waiting a while a HR1200 G3 dude joins the room and accepts my urgent again and finally thought luck was on my side again assuming someone with that rank had some experience and the elbow grease to help me with this quest, he then got killed only once and immediately quit the game leaving only me and the other person. We did manage to finish the quest but man, never expected this much bad luck on such a easy target.

love so many of these. Alternate versions of so many of the sets/pieces look absolutely great. It's just such a shame that actually getting them, and especially getting specific pieces is locked behind so much hassle. I've gone through a huge amount of trouble getting guild quests for some pieces, and then even more to level up guild quests, then even more farming the armor itself. Many dozens of hours and I've only actually gotten usable pieces for a single model of both head and chest. Then I've gotten a couple other usable pieces from hundreds of hours of general guild quest running (0 leg pieces though...).
I really, really hope these variations come back while being less of a headache to obtain. I'm not entirely sold on visual transmogrification in general in Monster Hunter, but if they just let the highest rank version of a piece switch between different variations ("Pick one of these 4 Rathian models for your Rathian helmet!") I would be instantly on board.
Okay maybe not hundreds of hours yet, but a hundred hours.

Yes, I know. That's the one I'm upgrading :P. Needs 10 Cortexes and 4 Allfire stones to upgrade right now to Dear Rosetta.
Ah well. Killed one, and at a rate of four cortexes per gravios, two more should do the trick.
