The Roaming (Topic) Empire was in crisis. After the Year of the Six OPs and the repeated attacks on the Limes Ferrus Willus by the Animenii tribe, the traditional tactics of proactive campaign and static defence could not hold. The cities of the Roaming Empire were forced to build great walls to keep the raging hoards out.

The most splendid walls were the Gethodosian Walls of the new Capital Cons[chat]inople, although the Tubellian Walls of the old Capital Roam were still formidable. As you can see here, no hoard of Animes could get in. This lasted until page 1453, because then...

Artillery became possible with the development of Gundampowder.

The city, now called I-Ischanbul, is still a place to talk about stuff though!
