my boyfriend sleep talks and does small actions, like throwing things, or grabbing me, or pointing at things. it really doesn't bother me at all because my mom has the wildest case of somnambulism i have ever heard of, or read of, ever.
she can talk, but her voice is usually a little different, she can shower, get dressed, put on her make-up, and wake up fully ready for the day. She has tried to go walk to the store at 4am, and my dad had to go drive the car and find her. She sleep walks almost every single night in some way, for the last 5 years, usually just to come say hi to the rest of the family, or to get water or go to the restroom.
it is hard to describe exactly how radical her sleepwalking is, but we do know she isn't faking it.
When I was little, I used to do it a lot. I guess one time, I got up, got dressed, went and sat down at my little table with my books and whatever, started playing, and asked what was for breakfast.
This was at like 11 PM.
When they tried to get me to go back to bed, I got up and went and brushed my teeth again before I actually got in bed.

I used to be a pretty bad insomniac but I got diagnosed with Restless Leg Syndrome and I'm medicated for it and it's helped my sleep a whole bunch.
I sleep walked a lot when I was younger though, My older brother once came home late, opened his bedroom door and turned on the light and I was sitting on his bed holding his guitar.
He asked what I was doing and I replied "I just want to play!"
This is a story I didn't hear until his speech at my 21st

My sleepwalking wore off when I was about 10. Usually I would be dreaming that I had to disarm a bomb or find a key within a time limit, and I'm guessing that since I couldn't find it in my shitty trailer the adrenaline woke me up, leaving me confused in the kitchen.

Towards the end of my sleep walking career, I'd just get up and walk into a corner of my room then wake up.
Only I was like half awake so I was totally lost and trying to feel around in the dark for a light or my bed and I'd usually freak myself out or stand on something sharp.
