Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
In the words of the ancients, one should make his decision within the space of seven breaths. It is a matter of being determined and having the spirit to break through to the other side
Bearstranaut is not allowed to have opinions as they have been proven to be terrible.
Your fuckin' family's dug into the Southie projects like ticks. You, however, grew up on the North Shore, huh? Well, la-di-fuckin'-da. You were kind of a double kid, I bet, right? Huh? One kid with your old man, one kid with your mother. You're upper-middle class during the weeks, then you're droppin' your "R"s and you're hangin' in the big, bad Southie projects with your daddy on the weekends. I got that right?

Maybe next time you shouldn't put all your eggs in one basket.

i loved the first one, but i got stuck and stopped playing
Dark Cloud 2 pretty much improves everything about the original. Like I played the first, and was pretty meh about it (still played it), but man, the second one blew it away, and is one of my fave games. The art, the combat, the replayability, spending hours getting your town juuuust right, the weapon creation and all. goddang.
Yeah, I loved FFX (I know, I know), and FFX2 was just so goddamn annoying, I STILL have yet to beat it.
I didn't get very far at all on FFX. I haven't played many of the Final Fantasy games, but that one bothered me right away. There was something about Titus I disliked almost immediately, and I couldn't stand playing the game when it set entirely on a rail that gave me zero control on where I was going.
I lost interest very early into it, shortly after joining up with a hawaiin who talked like Bender with Something About Mary hair-gel who hands you a huge sword while he fights enemies with a fucking volleyball.

anyone else play ff9
agreed. goddamn more games need some town making shenanigans. Rogue Galaxy is also hells of fun.
Also, try to get far into FFX2 and see how it is. You'll be a pretty princess in no time.

I cried when Dark Cloud III was put on hold.

and had mostly non-annoying characters
and a train
that was sort of my biggest gripe
i hated the non-linear exploration and progression
also it was the same world as FFX so it got boring
Also step step battle!!
