I don't even know if this is the right place or what, but I just picked up a DSi today, and I need suggestions for my 1,000 points. I did a quick skimming through the list of stuff and nothing particularly grabbed me..
Dr. Mario, always. Aquia is fun, Pictobits is more fun. Flip Chimps looked great but I haven't played it.

Do not get Warioware.
I'll second Aquia and Pictobits, and suggest Box Life above those two. They're nice puzzlers in the Art Style series. (Box Life and Aquia are probably the top two for me.) The other Art Style game that has been released, Base 10, isn't nearly as good as the other three. I haven't played anything else on the DSiware.
BoxLife, Aquia and PictoBits are totally worth your money, and are especially totally worth the free 1,000 points you get with the system. They're each 500 points, so you can buy two for free, and they'd be the best pack-in titles any system has had since Tetris on the original brick Game Boy. My vote is for all three, but if you had to pick two, I like BoxLife and Aquia the best. They're all really different, though.
Hm...Bit Boy appears to be just a mediocre Pac-Man clone with a visual gimmick. Pass.
And I love how he emphasizes over and over that Bit Boy is a high score game and then completely dismisses the fact that it doesn't have online leaderboards.

Yoshi Touch & Go didn't either yet it is still the greatest high score game ever. Well except for Tetris maybe.

Never played Touch and Go...I may have to try and find it.
BitBoy, after reading about what it was, just seemed like it was bad...plus the dev really doesn't have a good track record.
They are the ones behind the Plattchen Paint and Twist and Nikki's rock and sock roller or whatever. All of their games have been poorly done concepts.
Yeah after reading/watching reviews, Bit Boy seems like a wasted opportunity to do something really cool. Instead, yeah it seems like a weak take on Pac Man, and each "generation" really is more of a visual gimmick than a fresh take on gameplay from different eras.
Everyone should just buy Retro Game Challenge for Nintendo DS instead. Actually everyone should just buy that game in general.

4-bit = Pitfall style
8-bit = original Super Mario Bros style.
16-bit = Super Mario World or Donkey Kong Country Style.
32-bit = Crash Bandicoot Style (limited 3D)
64-bit = Mario 64 style (full 3D)
Or Bit Boy the RPG:
4-bit = 1 vs 1 combat only.
8-bit = Character & enemy parties, but still completely linear LVing.
16-bit = Job system + ATB.
32-bit = Grandia battle system.
64-bit = SMT press turn system.
I'm telling you people to buy Retro Game Challenge..
It's on the list for stuff to buy once I start working again right after all the XBLA and WiiWare games that I need to pick up. Oh and after the 2 SMT games that came out recently for the PS2/DS.
Holy shit, Pulseman is coming (or came) to North America?!
Everyone who didn't have a Sega Channel, you're finally gonna get to see something great you missed out on.
Since I have 1200 points to spare a recommendation from henroid might as well be a command from god.
I'm not saying you're god or anything, it's just an excuse to spend points. And I respect you, man.
Oh man, if you don't like it I'm gonna feel like crap!
Nah but seriously, that game was good stuff. It had a pretty heavy techno soundtrack (though apparently there are softer / slower songs later in the game I guess) (the Sega Channel limited how much time you had to play ) (yay options menu for music though). Nice platforming too. Can't speak much for the bosses though.
Is there any way to share points across the wii and ds shops? I linked them both to my club nintendo profile but that doesn't seem to work. I wouldn't be too upset about not being able to but it would be nice.
I believe points on the two systems are completely separate. Once you choose which system the points go to, they are locked in.

That is correct, which is why I only buy points on the DSi at 10 dollar intervals, mostly to buy something at the moment. I keep saved points on my Wii since I download from it more often.
That Final Fantasy 'My Life as a Darklord' is now out apparently. Was anyone planning to pick that up? I seem to remember it getting a lot of interest at it's announcement.

Nothing I can afford this week. My Life as a Darklord looks like an interesting take on the tower defense genre, with you setting up the traps and monsters to stop partying adventureres trying to defeat you as the final boss.
I have always wanted to play a game where you play the boss at the end of the level.
I'm sad we have no VC games this week...I mean c'mon...give us something.

I was thinking about it; I have a lot on my plate right now, but I might come back to it once I'm done with a slew of other XBLA games. I loved the shit out of My Life as a King, and while I know this is quite different, I'm hoping it's less "desktop tower defense" and more "Dungeon Keeper." There's quite a bit of hubbub about the DLC made available (it's apparently way more than what was parceled out for MLAAK), but so long as, like MLAAK, the base game is still fully playable and enjoyable, I might gamble on it.
Although I really like the premise of MLAAK. I'll wait to see how it reviews, however, as hot damn I have a lot of stuff to play and no time to play it. The only thing I'm adding to my plate anytime soon will be Wii Sports Resort this week and Shadow Complex next month, unless something like MLAAK catches fire.

I'm actually glad that nothing on WiiWare/VC is catching my fancy, as my 360 is giving me a steady stream of awesome stuff for the next few weeks that I don't even have enough time to play. :P
Yeah, I'm not picking up MLAADL right away, because I've got so much on my plate, especially with Little King's Story and Wii Sports Resort this week. Maybe later on.
