    I dunno whether the latest version of that scene with the proper city background as the dove flies away is better than the original 'blue sky from nowhere' shot. I think I'm just used to the old, weirdly misplaced version.

    After seeing Blade Runner 3 or 4 times over the last decade, I still don't get all the love for the movie. I think I am missing something profound that the movie represents.

    Apparently $650 a month isn't enough to be allowed to park Sunday night until the office opens Monday morning to get a temporary pass. The new ownership of this complex are jackasses and I'm glad I'm gone soon.

    This would be a lot less annoying if the office were at least open now like their hours claim they are so they could tell me where the fuck the car went and who I have to piss money at to get it back. But nah, apparently they're gonna go head and sleep in until 10 today.

    I can sort of see him as a wanna-be drill instructor type, screaming 'give me twenty pushups you disgusting bucket of lard' at high school kids on a religious summer camp. He was probably just checking that the thread didn't contain any slackers.

    I suspect they have the city police just come get anything without a pass towed, or something. Because yeah Sunday night is apparently a big night to steal free parking out of a complex a mile and a half away from everything in town.

    They should, but they won't. It is a borrowed car, so it didn't have a sticker. I had expected that being a tenant I could get a temporary pass when they open this morning, but they open at 10 instead of 8 today for probably exactly this reason. Basically this rental company does not have their tenants' interests in mind and the right thing to do is to try to prevent them from getting business.

    And this is all assuming that wherever the car got towed to is in town. With how small this town is there's a pretty solid chance I have to go to another city to get the car back. Without a car to drive there.

    well this is my laptop drive, and my laptop has a 120GB HDD and 20 of that is the windows partition, so 100 is my OS X partition
    and then I have my music library which is 60GB and i don't like to keep it on an external because then it is not with me when I take my laptop places

    edit: if i buy like, a 500GB laptop HDD for 99 bucks or whatever it is, is there an easy way for me to transfer all my information and shit from the current HDD to the new one if, say, I have the use of someone else's macbook and a firewire cable or something

    I think the school orchestra describes my school very well. In general, the people who play the viola where second and third chair violins when they were younger, and then went "oh hey I could be first chair viola if I switched."

    The viola section of my school orchestra is twice the size of the violin section.
