I was pleased with the reveal at the end of this issue specifically because it makes the notion that these people are who they claim to be seem even more unlikely. On the other hand, Nick Spencer could just turn out to be terrible and everything could be exactly as it seems. But I don't want to believe that, so I won't.

The second Magneto told his son he loved him and could never be disappointed in him I was pretty sure it wasn't him.

Actually Magneto has been pretty consistently abusive towards Pietro. I haven't read Ultimates three since forever but I feel pretty confident there isn't a single panel of him treating him actually kindly.

In Ultimates 3 he asks him to come with him but its more a gruff "we're family we gotta do this" thing not something out of love.

I don't know what to think. It seemed that Wanda's power seemed very very scarlet witchy.

However, kudos to the storyline to keep me (and others) scratching our heads in a good way.

Awww, Sam Humphries is joining The Ultimates as a co-writer, with Hickman to be leaving sometime (probably guarantees he's getting the main Avengers title). This makes me really sad, even if Humphries ends up being a really good writer.

So when does Nick Fury have sex with crystals? I kid, although that might be the real key to defeating Reed.

I thought maybe the Ultimate line would have some greater creative stability outside of Bendis being on USM with this relaunch, though it looks like that might still be some ways off. It feels just like a usual twelve part arc for Ultimates, although without a renumbering when Hickman leaves.
