    Gabe's news post said:

"The world of the Lookouts is a wild one. The majority of it is covered in a dense magical forest called the Eyrewood. Human settlements are few and far between. Learning to navigate and live alongside the forest is a necessity. Men must protect the few roads they have through the woods...."

Reminds me a little of the world of Tanith from Dan Abnett's Gaunt's Ghosts novels. Essentially, many of the main characters come from a world covered by forests that constantly shift, so no path through the woods ever stays the way you remember it. As a result, the men raised on Tanith have a strong innate sense of direction, and make superb scouts.

As interested as I am in seeing the next two offerings, I think I really like the feel of this one. Lookouts gets my vote. :D

Lookout gets my vote based on everything we have to compare it to

That Automata preview looks like pure sex. I was wondering how they were going to change the way Gabe usually draws characters to fit a film noir type setting. Looks gritty and I can hardly wait for that one.

There was a 4chan /tg (Traditional games) Thread about it...

ok I started it, and it went very well actually!

    Complete with Lookouts Fanart!
(The safe kind the last time I checked)

Here is the most likely SFW the last time I checked link.

The Whole Lookouts concept is fantastic, and I plan to use something similar in my next T.T. game.

I think it will give my players a break from the overly serious, while still being a game they can
    keep their focus on.

    Thank you Penny Arcade!

Sorry if I broke some kind of rule, I did not see a rules sticky or rules forum.

Ive been meaning to make a Penny Arcade account for forever now...

The Lookouts comic really drew me in. Its got a lot of potential for a ton of stories to be told.

I would love to see a complete lookouts story book, or Monster guide..
An Artist friend of mine is currently drawing some lookouts Merit badges.

The best so far is the googley eyed beholder badge.

I'm looking forward to the other things, but this may be too good to let go. I mean I'd like to see people smuggleing robot limbs in barrels across the great lakes, and a Jim Darkmagic story would be like some kind of demon magic sent to rob me of my sanity. But really I think it's going to be too hard to pick just one of these things.

True. I like the way Mike draws things. It's not cartoony, yet he doesn't try for a realistic look. It's Krahulikesque.

I like this for its combination of dark and light-hearted elements. Unfortuently the cynical voice in my head says this probably won't be an entirely happy ending.

This is such a fantastic comic and I get a distinct impression of being inspired from Dungeons and Dragons (It models 4E Points of Light approach very strongly).

Really can't wait for more. I hope they be merciful and decide to do all three.
