Someone needs to make the Space Bears chapter and have their badge be the Penny Arcade bear face thing. Space Wolf rules and models would be a good basis.

So I went by the nerd store today and swung in to pick up the Space Wolf codex for research (Know thy enemy and everything.) While I'm looking at the boxes for the wolf models some random guy comes up to me and asks, "do you play 40k?"
I look down at the models in my hand and the codex under my arm.
"Yeah, a little," I respond.
"Do you know anything about the Imperial Guard?" He asks.
My mind suddenly flashes to shelf after shelf in my basement filled with painted Guard models.
"Yeah, a little," I respond.
He wanted to know something about guard command squads.
So, I played a list that had 9 snipers and a heavy bolter. After 3 turns of firing everything at targets of opportunity, and managed nothing. The most productive round of shooting was when they moved down from their perch to fire pistols into Typhus and terminator squad. They killed a terminator and put a wound on Typhus. They charged and Typhus wounded himself with the Manreaper. Next assault phase, the scouts were wiped from the board.
I hate sniper scouts.

The following people are amazing and I love them: Wildcat, Timspork, Kias, Denada, susan, Sharp101, [GHSC]Ryctor, Matev, Matrias, ItBurns, Slapnuts, Dayspring, see317, and the unknown poster that sent me a box of Death Company! If you get them as Santees you should buy them amazing things!
The only things on the board in los for the first two turns were pleague marines. Then turn 3 typhus and termies deep struck behind the scouts. I guess it was turn 4 that I pistoled them and charged.

Yep, i am i know him personally been friends with him since highschool. His fucking work is incredible. Oh and ya im on the SA forums, i usually only post in the tales of goon gamers thread and the new one they are starting of just cool painting shots.

As I go back and read the posts, I definitely want to thank scurv for pimping my wares. But just to be clear: Im not cheap. I do nice work, and Im reliable, and my rates arent rape-expensive...but Im not cheap. Im also booked out through november, and I take payment in advance on all work. Just fyi
Okay gang, I'm nearing completion on my Leman Russ conversion, which I'm tentatively calling a "Lord Russ" variant, or the Inganok-Pattern Leman Russ. The turret has been widened by 50%, off-setting the commander's position to the right of the main gun and a hatch added for the gunner to the weapon's left. The hull gun position and crew member has been eliminated and the weapon moved to a (non-ballistically matched) co-axial position, and the hull has been lengthened slightly allowing for greater sound insulation and better crew protection. Fluff-wise this variant is roomier, easier to operate, less crew-intensive and has better crew surivability.
I'm hoping to get some feedback on how it looks. I've heard that the turret's too big and the hull should be widened. Personally I'm fond of it, but it's taken quite a lot of work and I'd like to know if it's worth it or not. I'm thinking of using hacked-up guard binoculars as optics for the gunner (on the mantlet) and driver (on the ...um ... hull superstructure, like on the baneblade.)

J/k I like it. The turret may be just a tad big, but look at an M1 Abrams or Leopard tank and it's not too far off.
The front of the hull is missing something. It needs something on there, a view slit, sandbags whatever. You can't just have a flat piece of plasticard or it will look odd.
