if you had to buy one bottle what would you buy, that isnt too expensive
speaking of dark beer, at this cask ale festival thing i had this thing that was Brooklyn Brewery's Black Ops
and it was preposterous and amazing and black as the night http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/45/40149

If you want to get acclimated to whisky in general go for any sort of canadian whisky. Canadian Club or Seagrams runs around 15$ for a fifth, and I enjoy it mixing wise. Or for super cheap go for canadian mist.
you know i've let like four ladies that don't know alcohol try guinness and they all liked it
surprising!
Not really surprising. Guinness has a chocolate taste to it, which appeals to a lot of ladies.
It's also thick and rich enough and goes well with steaks and ribs and such that gentlemen enjoy it also.
Basically, it's the perfect beer if you're not a pissant little kid.
The stuff is fantastic to mix with, I've had Captain's and it tastes Meh compared to Jerry which is supposed to be 'cheap' on it's own anyways. It's like $28 Canadian here so not a bad go at all.
I haven't eaten in 8 hours, these two shots hit my 130 pound self harder than I planned
Fake edit while I wait for the post timer: I recently discovered Jameson and I actually really liked it
Someone bought me a shot of it on my birthday and it went down so easy
Real edit: for relaxing times... make it Suntory time
I am totally bringing some scotch the next time I see you, Usagi.
Which reminds me, I have about an inch and a half of Dalwhinnie in the cupboard, I should take care of that tonight. I've been on a cognac kick of late (Remy Martin) but all this talk of scotch has me in the mood for something a bit pictish (or maybe thats the lack of sleep).
And if you were in Japan, you could. Like, in the streets, outside the marts, if you wanted to.
Although I don't guess they call them marts in Japan? Where is Houk when you need him to answer a question about Japantimes?
they call them 'conbini', which is just short for convenience store
also, whenever you teach a japanese person that one of 'their' words actually comes from english or whatever other language, it absolutely blows their mind
like most japanese people dont have a friggin clue that 'conbini' is short for anything. hell, the other day a student called me 'fashionable' and i was like 'oh how do you know an english word like that?' and she was like 'what, that's english?!'

Go to store
Buy some cheapish scotch (Dewars white label, johnny walker red, crawfords)

For a regular night, it has to be the Jerry.

Scoresby
Found that out the hard way
it annoys me when i dont see it at stores, it is so much better than captains
Yeah, Captain Morgan gets all of the exposure but Sailor Jerry is where it is at.
20 at most places, 30 at the retarded places
Good man
like the shot tastes pretty bad and then I swallow it and it tastes worse and then my stomach feels terrible for the next 10 minutes
I can drink anything else like what but one shot and I feel all gross
(brisk lemonade + cheap whiskey is really nice)
the cheapest Suntory blend
Kakubin
is actually pretty tasty! it's REALLY cheap, i paid 400yen for the pocket bottle for traveling to the north and a 700ml bottle costs about 1000yen.

Because what the fuck is this at the 7/11? Whiskey in cans? How can that go wrong?
My intolerance for rum, on the other hand, is legendary. Legendary like mesh trash cans and scaled fences and broken apartment windows.

BEHOLD
I would drink it every damn day.
I miss it so

I took several years of their moon-language and I can barely recall any of it now.
Who the hell knows
Laphraoig tastes like a peat bog died in your mouth, which is ok sometimes but it's definitely not my go-to scotch
For el cheapo its all about Johnny Red
Volyu, you have excellent taste
