Bought here, I remember seeing it on sale for forever a few weeks back. Had no idea it was a turn-based homeworld-esque affair. Worth 2.50 for the soothing piano music
overall disappointed cause I already have all the stuff from past sales
If anyone is looking into getting DoW II and it's expansion, I would recommend just going for the THQ pack and paying the extra few dollars for a fair few more games.
Good to see Civ IV on sale, I've been interested in that for a while.
To anyone even midly interested in Kane & Lynch, I'd like to point out that the co-op is local only and that the only online play is the fragile alliance mode. And when I got it a year ago, it was pretty much dead.
so which civ game should I get? Never tried these but am willing to give it a shot for this price. Admittedly, nothing really stands out today.
The Civ IV complete bundle is the best deal, but if you're ultra-strapped for cash you can just pick up vanilla Civ IV.
Edit: Warlords, the first expansion, is pretty meh, but Beyond The Sword adds a metric fuckton of stuff. Colonization is a stand-alone update of an older Civ spin-off game that plays quite differently than Civ IV does.

I bought Kane & Lynch, but I was hoping for more today. I don't remember Gothic 3 looking nearly as good as it does in the screenshots there. Wonder if they have been touched up a bit.
Is Kane & Lynch fun? I remember it getting "eh" reviews.
I remember reviewers saying it had a really meh single player and a really interesting multiplayer, which is probably long since dead by now. And "Gerstman Gate," of course.
I'd totally give EVE Online a go if it wasn't for that $15 per month subscription fee. I have no idea how MMOs attract enough people to sustain themselves.

Kind of tempted by Kane & Lynch, but I'd really rather play it on a console.

Done. Vanilla would be great but it's a little over half the price of the bundle so I guess the complete collection it is. They're RTS games right? Is it all war and combat or do you build up towns and shit too?

Oh yeah, and the Dawn of War II Gold pack is one of the few deals where if you own the original Dawn of War II you get to gift the extra copy to a friend.

DoW II: Gold? No discount as of this particular second.. but if chaos rising is cheap..
has a demo as well
I've actually never played Max Payne.
90% is easiest the highest discount I've ever seen on Steam. Probably related to the fact that there's still monthly fees.
Nothing for me today, phew.

Still haven't bought anything yet. These sales are less enjoyable if you already own everything
Except III. So why not just go "75% off all Civilization IV games"? Silly Steam.
do I really want DoW2?
A few of those '1 dollar/euro deals' have been 95% off, like Puzzle Kingdoms.
Nope, 80% off. It was even cheaper on the ten year anniversary.
Is it?
Yes, yes you do. I may buy some of these older games today.
Gothic any good?

Would have had EVE if the month of game time worked with existing accounts, been wanting to reactivate for a while.
edit: oh wait it is, just isn't linked from front page
Yes, oh yes.
Just clear your schedule for the next week or so.

The first one is a necessity and Max Payne is a pretty great game too.
Kane and Lynch for £3.49? I think I will nab that. Should provide a decent little distraction.
They did CR for $15 about a week and a half ago, so I'm not holding my breath.
Kane & Lynch is actually kinda tempting for $5. Any reasons besides mediocrity that I should avoid it? Bad port, poor framerate, etc.

Though last I remember of Gothic 3 it was the buggiest mess ever seen on PC.
Yep.

Hell with it then, I wanted a good single player.

And I creep ever closer to my $100 limit for this Steam sale...
I think I'll pass on K&L though. My other purchases will keep me busy enough.
