There is often a desire to change things that cannot be changed and despite that realization people will continue to fight onward against the cold harsh realities that manifest themselves.
A fireman will charge into the black fortress with only an axe in hand and slaughter all those in who stand in his path. Screaming out for the only companion he ever knew. Searching as many corridors and secret passages as he could no matter how hopeless it seemed, fully aware that he was being watched at all moment. He only wanted to see her one last time and when he did, they struck. They showed him no mercy, and despite that he stood trying to reach out to her. Until it all faded away.
The worm had fought valiantly against the tyrants these past couple days but they had finally found their way her. Setting up a perimeter of pulse emitters in the ground they forced Kushi out of the ground, she cried out in pain as she did the Agents pounced on her. With shocker sticks in hand they surrounded the beast,each jabbing at her until her body could take no more and she collapsed.
Then there was the knight. Found in his study with the forbidden book. The agent’s happily tore it from his hands and ripped it to bits as the knight watched in horror.
Once they were finished they grabbed ahold of him when they noticed a small necklace with a figure around his neck. The agents smiled grimly. As the morning rose the Rebels saw the knight hanging from the black fortress crucified.
Desperate for answers, the rebels forced three suspects in front of the gate. Each of the rebels took their turns berating them. When finally the clown stood forward and smiled, an orange in his mouth. He opened the gates himself and simply bowed before leaving into the wastelands.
