The issue was that Stopping Power and Juggernaut were hands-down the only perks that mattered, and they're boring: you can kill with 1 less bullet, or you can survive 1 extra bullet, basically. And that's really powerful. Compared to them, even UAV Jammer / Camouflage / Cold Blooded were considered second-tier. Removing them allowed for more diverse playstyles. We've got a lot of Ghosts / Assassins now, but we've also got a ton of people using Hardline, Scavenger, Flak Jacket, etc: it's not just Stopping Power all day erry day, and that's been a good move for the series, as far as I'm concerned. Adding them back in would certainly make Ghost / Assassin less prevalent, but it would also automatically become the perk that everyone uses, because it's that good. None of the other options would matter.

I can't complain less about Ghost or Assassin. When people using them kill me I blame that perk even if it didn't give them an advantage because there are no spy planes. It's something that's ingrained into my personality now.

In MW I can't put up high kill totals. My highest is somewhere in the range of 44 and I'm lucky to get into the 30s. That's been more of a problem in MW3 than MW2, but I never put up huge numbers in that one either.
I actually want to try a little bit of World at War again, since we've been getting nostalgic for the past lately. I'd probably get quickly irritated by bouncing betties, though. Those things were awful. But I thought it was a fine game when you found a hack-free lobby.

It's actually pretty fun, but MP40 Drum Mags Juggernaut is so far and away the best setup that it's really frustrating to use anything else. Most of the assault rifles are semi-auto, which is fine, but when the alternative is an SMG that can drop someone in two rounds without Stopping Power, and can fire continuously for 10+ seconds without needing to be reloaded, you've pretty clearly got a balancing issue on your hands.

I'm with Magell on this, except my numbers aren't as high. I don't know what it is but I do a hell of a lot better in Blops then I do in MW3.
Everybody was dropping quads today it was pretty sweet. Many predator missiles, my exploding cars, and more great times to be had.
I continued my trend of the only Type 95 I can do well with is one I pick up off the ground and got a nice triple while spawn trapping them on Interchange.
To counter that I kept picking up guns with ACOGs on them. Why would you put an ACOG on a UMP or the SCAR. Some people.
1) Copy MW2
2) Remove OMA refilling tubes
3) Add new maps
4) Add new killstreaks
5) Last stand is negated by headshots, explosives, and shotguns
Every single one of us would run out and buy that game and love it.

MW2 was fun because everything was just balls to the wall ludicrous. And...if it wasn't for OMA/DC it would be hands down the best one in the series, imo.

So I've recently been playing a lot of MW2 and probably some 3 soon on the 360, but it's only fun for so long by yourself.. So I was wondering if I get in some games with you guys. I am... decent at playing and usually stay positive (both points wise and emotionally), but I'm definitely not amazing.

I like both the series, but I'm definitely better at Black Ops than in the Modern Warfare series. It's actually pretty fun, but MP40 Drum Mags Juggernaut is so far and away the best setup that it's really frustrating to use anything else.
