So I just updated my nVidia drivers today, to 306.23 and now the Steam Overlay is making Cladun X2 all funky.
Anyone else experiencing this? Any fixes or will I need to roll back?
So turning VSync off fixed it.
In other news, I've owned Borderlands since the Summer Sale and I *still* can't finish downloading it due to busy tubes at my house. Please tell me it's worth it.

Borderlands is so good.
Imagine Diablo 2. Now replace all of the swords/axes/bows/etc with guns. Now add vehicles. Now make it first person. Now make it sorta cell shaded. Now it is Borderlands. You should check around and see if anyone wants to do some co-op. I'd be down, but I haven't been able to get my other computer to my new place and the one I am currently using can't pull it off.
Plus, if you really get into Borderlands, by the time you finish the main game plus the DLCs Borderlands 2 will probably be pretty cheap.

Mouse controls are pretty spotty, though. Wandered around the same two rooms for five minutes until I found out I had to hover under an object instead of right on it.

Just pre purchased Torchlight 2 and pre loaded Borderlands 2 last night. My body is ready. I hope my wife doesn't expect me to actually leave the house next week, besides for work of course. Maybe.
On that note, is there anyone who doesn't have the first Torchlight yet? I'd rather just give it to the first person to PM me rather than make a steam gifts contest and get like 2 entries.

Apparently, there's a new Indie Royale out. It includes Lunar Flight, Swords and Soldiers, Sequence, a new game by Rockin' Android called Bunny Must Die, two more shmups created by them, and Cute Things Dying Violently. Considering it has at least Swords and Soldiers and Sequence for less than the price of Sequence, I'd say it looks pretty good.
I wholly endorse it due to having Sequence. Awesome game with clever mechanics, funny dialogue ('is this a rap battle?') and above anything else a really surprisingly good soundtrack.

Considering it has at least Swords and Soldiers and Sequence for less than the price of Sequence, I'd say it looks pretty good.
The Rockin' Android games are a big draw for me, and making this tough to resist. The shmups they've localized that I already own (Gundemonium Collection and the Suguri games) are really well done, mechanically tight bullet-hell shmups. Bunny Must Die! is a metroidvania from the Japanese indie devs Platine Dispositif, creators of the Gundemonium Collection. Orange Juice is responsible for the other two (Qlione and Flying Red Barrel) and they developed the wonderful Suguri series which mashes up bullet hell shmups with fighting games. I've played the Flying Red Barrel demo (available on Desura) and it's a well done vertical scrolling shmup with a really charming art style. Qlione just looks weird and I want it.
Everything else in the bundle looks very quality, and I gotta plug the fact that Cute Things Dying Violently is by one of our very own (sorry I can't remember specifically who right now, morning time brain no worky good). And anyone who's followed the Steam thread for a while should know that Sequence is a favorite around these parts, even with people who don't normally enjoy rhythm games.

Contest A: Reverse anagram time! I noticed a few people were still diving into the Jade Empire giveaways, so this is for those of you who still haven't managed to snaffle this gem (and anyone that just wants to mess around with anagrams).
Do what you can with "Jade Empire: Special Edition". The sillier, the better. And I'll accept the occasional extra/missing letter if it means an awesome/hilarious anagram.
Contest B:: Whilst sorting through some pics of a recent rock-pool visit, I was inspired by the silly contest potential of this picture. Natural world camouflage is go! How many prawns are in that image? Get it right and you could win one of your choice from the original Deus Ex, Arx Fatalis, or Dear Esther. Or again, if you don't want any of those, feel free to just have a bash at it anyway!

Pretty good horror game with a unique puzzle mechanic. Starts off as a brawler then you get some guns, story gets really weird really fast.
