Mr. Mime is pretty great. I enjoy the idea that it was called 'Mr.Mime' because its a species that decided to mimic humanity. Sure, it's got the invisible field thing going on, but it's focusing all of its skill to look like people but it just falls off the mark.

I have never even once cared about the starters first evo forms since Gen II.
I guess the box art of Gen 1 taught me to look at the final evos.
Also, I still think gen 2 starters were the most poorly designed starters. By far.
Edit: I would say the only thing that would get me interested about the starter first form is if game freak showed them, didn't say the types, and they very clearly were not Grass/Water/Fire.

Sound is always the most "popular" new type when these discussion come up, so that one is obvious. Sound being popular because a lot of normal moves are sound based such as Sing and Screech. And you have pokemon like Loudred.
Saint sounds like someone doesn't know that "Dark" is the opposite of fighting, and they want a "Light" type to oppose it.
Light is what psychic type is called in Japan isn't it

the only rumors I've ever seen come true were back in gen V, when the art of the starters final forms was somehow leaked early, and again when a spanish-language fansite somehow saw all the pokemon ahead of time and posted descriptions
usually when someone posts a bunch of miscellaneous info like you'd get in a corocoro it turns out to be BS

if they've constructed cel-shaded 3D models for every pokemon for battles and use 3D models in the world why the fuck isn't there pokemon following
