It's kind of a shame they don't seem to give you the ability to setup a sealed tournament amongst friends, though with a little work I think you would be able to manage it.

I would if the interface to that wasn't absolutely terrible. I can't fathom why they can't get MTGO into the slick interface of Duels. I would buy and play in a heartbeat. I actually own MTGO and haven't touched it in over a year because it was so overwhelming to try to just get started.

Agree 1,000% with this. Tried MTGO once and was like "Why is this so confusing, and also ugly?"
New decks look bonkers though. Thanks for sharing them!
Yeah definitely. I like it because it's less boring that the 2012 Ajani, but also less cheesy than the 2012 Azorius. (I liked all the enchantment stuff, but so many hexproofs made it frustrating to play against sometimes.) This one looks like a good mix of fun and non-aggravation!
I'm into the new Garruk. It's ... interesting. A little more removal, which I like, fewer cheese cards (those crazy growth hydras, the sorcery that summoned all the wolves) which I like, and some interesting enchantment choices. Looks fun!
I don't know who we're kidding. 99% of our opponents will be running slivers.
Not sure if emoticon indicates sarcasm (sorry, it's early and coffee isn't working yet), but do you think people will really be into the slivers deck? I wasn't playing when slivers first came out, so I have no concept of how awesome they are. I imagine the deck will play something like 2012's goblin deck, blitzing you with brutally stacking creature buffs and effective spot removal, but the sliver decklist shown makes it seem too slow to really pull that off? The armageddons are nice, there's a little ramp, and there's some decent creature protection, but overall the slivers seem slow and vulnerable, especially with most of the other decks shown having fairly high removal/draw components (compared to last year anyway). I dunno, it'll be interesting to see how it plays in the meta I guess.

Goblins are a poor man's slivers. . .
Slivers have a long history and for those of us who remember them there were a lot of situations where people would see that stacking buff mechanic and they'd lose their crap and just play slivers, no matter how strong a tactician they were. Slivers have the effect of the mechanic making people think they're stronger than they really are.
Mostly just huntin' monsters.

Ah, I see what you're saying. Not that it's good per se, but that everyone's going to be into it because "OMG BUFF MECHANIC." Good call on your part.
Looks like it's gonna be White and Green for me once again. Red does nothing for me, Black is sometimes nice when it's not zombies and Blue... Blue just kind of feels 'wrong'.
I'll third disappointment over the new mono-blue and mono-black decks. Both seem like underpowered, one-dimensional rehashes of 2011 decks.
It's weird that I could be so into the new Garruk and the new Ajani, both of which are also rehashes to a degree, and be so down on these two. I guess it's partly because I find creature-type themed decks pretty dull, but also, these are almost direct clones from 2011. Lame!
EDIT: Gonna dial back my hater a little bit here. Both the new decks look decently strong and somewhat fun, just a little rehashed for my tastes.
Ajani vs Ajani in 2013 can be absurd; I just played one out. Two hours, and I only won because I caught him without a WoG/Plowshares with a Felidar Sovereign I'd been dealt in my original hand. We both had four-digit life totals.
