Box from Amazon showed up (Wife yelled at me for buying more stuff...), my Secret Santa sent me a $10 MS points card via email a couple days ago, and the rest are here now!
Two boxes:
The smaller of the two note:
The larger of the two note:
Thank you Secret Santa, I can't wait though! (And my wife wants to make sure she doesn't repeat)
LEGO! Who doesn't love LEGO! It's going in the game room display.
The second is so awesome... My name sake since I was 14 and playing Doom.. Scud, The Disposable Assassin.
A great indie comic. Basic idea is in the future you can buy a disposable robot assassin to do the deed then it explodes once the target is dead (matched my DM play style). While on the assignment this particular robot while fighting his target in a bathroom saw the WARNING label on his back in the mirror and was like, "WTF, I don't want to die!" So he disabled his target and became a hit man for hire to pay for the life support to keep his original target alive! Oh beautiful irony.
Again, thank you so much Secret Santa (Jon) for the super generous gifts! They are very much appreciated and right up my alley!
My elves have been very slow at sending the thing Santa ordered and my patience is wearing a little thin but I'm hoping it shows up sooner than later.

Got home from work, found two packages! But one of them was a gift I got someone else. Screw them!
(apologies for crappy shaky hand cameraphone pictures)
I send my pet cheeseburger to investigate. Oh no! Explosion!
Inside are two nicely wrapped boxes!
First one has a note:
"I've thoroughly enjoyed sailing the seven seas and singing sea shanties, you should too! #YoHo"
From: Beltaine
The contents:
Assassins Creed 4! Woohoo!
Second box, with another note!
"You indicated you're one of those guys with a thing for plushies. I won't judge."
From: Beltaine
Well I appreciate the non-judgement, especially given the previously pictured giant cheeseburger.
Hmm... cryptic message from Proxy. I hope no one is at my doorstep when I get home.
Hey! You can't tease us like that!
Mine said: I saw your post! Don't worry, you may not have a lot here, but there is a lot of you on the internet. I even read your 2001 stories! A lot of it was outdated so I've been building off of your general interests and think I've put together an interesting package, but there's still room for a little more if you have a wishlist.
My 2001 stories.... must of found that deep dark spot of my blog that is filled with despair.

The Vita is much better at photography than the 3DS, (not) surprisingly.
Grabbed the parcel on the way to work, so this meant impromptu photography!
A note of suspect:
Gift wrap!
Animes:
(I'm sure it's no secret I'll love this.)
Bayou Goodness:
I'll put this to use tonight(or, uh, I'll try to).
Thanks DRV-person!
(Uh, best not to ask what became of those chips. Let's just say it was a mess.)
Glad it finally arrived! it was sitting in post office limbo for ages.
The chips have a tendency to disappear. If you have any left, try them on a sandwich! Crunchy and delicious

Thread, I need your help.
A few days ago I received a cryptic message from our good friend Proxy. I've spent time trying to decipher it, but I haven't been able to figure anything out. Will you help me?
The message is as follows:
Key: Winter
Passphrase: Wonderland
hsriy://doktihub.fb?H/bo

Related: Santee, your package is being shipped out tomorrow. Prepare yourself!
On the bus, but I already have ideas about this one
EDIT: That idea did not pan out

bad things happen, no one knows why / the sun burns out and everyone dies
Couldn't resist and opened it as soon as I got it!
Titled The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man's Fear. This is good! Gonna take my time to read through this. First time I received books (the anime encyclopedia doesn't count). Second consecutive year I didn't receive pokemon-related stuff!
Some disposable assassin named Scud. Apparently, it dates back to 1994! I made a mistake; it's Rob Schrab who created this.
I'm currently listening to Name of the Wind on Audible right now! I haven't listened to audio books before, but accidentally signed up for a month of audible trying to get a free book and so I got Name of the Wind, Dune, and Enders Game. Enders Game was the shortest so I listened to it first. Now I'm on Name of the Wind and nearly hooked on this audio book thing. It's just so convenient.

Good Audible books:
Glory Road by Robert Heinlein read by Bronson Pinchot (SciFi/Fantasy adventure)
Divine Misfortune by A. Lee Martinez read by Fred Berman (comedic fantasy)
14 by Peter Clines read by Ray Porter (Lovecraftian style horror)
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline read by Wil Wheaton (dystopian scifi)
Agent to the Stars by John Scalzi read by Wil Wheaton (sci fi)
The Dirty Streets of Heaven by Tad Williams read by George Newbern (urban fantasy)
I could go one... a lot, but those are some of my absolute favorites. The genre classifications are my own.

World War Z has an amazing audio book version as well.
It does, the cast is amazing. I haven't had a chance to buy the new one yet with more of the stories added. I was severely disappointed with what the first version chose to cut.

Dice! A nice set of clear orange dice! These will do nicely!
The second gift is much larger and heavier. What could it be?
Small World! I've had my eye on this for a LONG time (ever since I was introduced to it on TableTop), and never pulled the trigger on it. Can't wait to play this! I have family coming in this weekend too so it should see some good playtime!
if we're talking audio books audible has both the stephen fry read Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy audiobook, and the original BBC radio drama Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy that started it all. if youve never heard those you should probably check that out.
Gift get!!
I got some delicious treats from an unknown Canadian source!
Along with some MTG theros packs. Those contained:
Porphorus God of the forge
Ashen Rider
Bident of Thassia (foil)
and Hundred Handed one!
I would post the pictures here directly, but they always come in WAYYYY to big. so here's the imgur album link:
Many a thank you for the plush haunter, He will soon reside on the wall above my monitor. Cursing my enemies, and destroying my foes.
The snacks will quickly become part of my Christmas weight gain plan! Ho Ho Ho!
From that crazy place that lives under you, A giant thank you, and Merry Christmas!
Also my Christmas gift to all in the thread is to point out that GoG have Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics free if you add them to your account in the next 26 hours. No need to download anything, just add them now and you can download at your leisure at any point in the future.
@Chen Two Scud novels in one page! What are the odds!
It's a Festivus miracle!
And I hope you like them Chen. Name of the Wind is by far one of my favorite books, and like I mentioned before, even though it doesn't say so on the cover, Dan Harmon is co created Scud, so I'm hoping you'll enjoy that too.
And yeah, I was tempted to go down the Pokemon route, as you clearly enjoy that game, but couldn't figure out what to get you from that.

I wish I could recall, but I've never had a Santa that I'd call that.

And he finds a metric ton of UK chocolate stuffs.
But he'll enjoy.

I sent the wife unit over to my father's house to check the mail as I had received a message from the proxy elf that a package had arrived.
She brought home a box, which had to be inspected by the doge.
First gift:
American Gods is one of my favorite books. However, my copy is a little... worn, as you can see. Thank you for such a lovely edition!
The second package got me even more excited!
Thank you so much @Kyougu

What's in the box?!

My wife is super amazing and despite having a lot of stuff to get done tonight she was willing to play my new game!
In awesome fashion, what combination showed up the day before the Hobbit movie releases than the Dragon Master Dwarves!
Also, we've played multiple games of Paint the Line.
She's also won EVERY game we've played of Paint and Line and she won Small World tonight by three points... I need to practice I guess.
I don't know how many of you have seen The Dungeon Masters, but it taught me what to do with dice that don't behave.
Thank you Santa, who is still nameless! Apparently he was not done and has overwhelmed me with amazingness!
