After all the talk about Protomen on these here forums I got there first CD and...

    I uh...

I did not enjoy it very much at all.

you'll be humming The Will of One within the week

Well it was a month ago I listened to the CD so I don't even remember what song that is.

I tend not to bring things up on the forums if I have nothing positive to say or nothing that will not produce any discussion though, so I didn't say anything earlier.

But, when Speed just mentioned them, it came to mind.

Their Queen cover album is basically unassailable

Panther is the only man I've heard who lives up to the legend that is Freddie Mercury

I saw that they had such a CD.

But I could not come up with a reason as to why I would not just listen to Queen instead.

their second album has a much different musical style from the first one and is also much better-produced

it still might not be your thing but it's worth checking out

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMrFiOjxk5s

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkLvpt9Z3fA

    http://youtu.be/GvnzAlh9PmA

i think this is my favorite Act II track

that's funny because it's one of my least favorite!

Breaking out is just the best though

f'reals inquisitor you should click the first youtube in my post

Breaking Out rules, and I'm definitely attracted to tracks that have a lot of emotion behind em, so those two really make that album for me

I also like 5+ minute songs in general

honestly, he does such a good job mimicking freddie mercury that it's kind of like

maybe just listen to the original queen song because it is not appreciably different

all of their covers are really good

they've done live versions of Gates of Steel by DEVO but as far as i know there's no good recording of it and it makes me sad

I'd be criminal to mention the Protomen here and not also link some of The Megas:

    This is sacrilege

But I actually think a couple of their covers have better instrumentation

Hahahahahaha I think the guy doing tech support for the school may have just nuked everyone's computer which is why I backed up all my files on a flash drive before I let him touch my computer.

People are running around in a panic.

I was not aware, but apparently Greg Miller showed up to the Bombcast drunk. And he's only gotten drunker as the night has gone on.

It sounds like a Russian accent to me, primarily, perhaps with a bit of a French stank on it, so to speak.

Greg Miller has an untouchable position at IGN. He's basically the Jeff of IGN.

I don't think he'll leave, as much as we might want him to.
