Well, the quick look up I did says that SNC wrote it as a satire about how informal communication has become. So, it's doing its job?

    Dear Santee,
I have ideas, so many ideas. I need some time, and some luck to maybe focus on one or two.

    Dear Santa,

Some days ago I was instructed not to purchase anything. I don't know if that has anything to do with you, but I suspect it does. Well, I come here to confess -- I have continued to purchase food and water, for I am but a weak and feeble human worm beneath your mighty, jolly boot! Similarly, I cannot make any guarantees about Smash Brothers, as these are things I need to survive. Please take pity, my liege!

My Santa sent me something and I can't do anything about it yet! I'll make a proper post when I get home at some point, but I've been out and about most of the day.

So thanks ahead of time Santa and I'll do this posting thing right when I'm not on a phone sitting in someone else's living room watching a cat.

OK, I promised to eventually post about my wishes, dreams, hopes, and secret gift-lusts so my Santa has some more to go on. I now have time to do so with my work-load abating slightly! I like things. So many things, really. Gift ideas that have borne fruit in the past have been
    1. Comics: I hate the soap opera BS that mainstream superhero stuff has degenerated into, but I like self-contained things like Sandman, Preacher, Hellboy(I have Chained Coffin, Wake the Devil, Seed of destruction), BRPD (Hollow earth, soul of venice) Echo, and Blue is the Warmest Color (these in their entirety being prior Santa gifts)
    2. Books: As ever, I remain romantically entangled with books though my backlog has become extreme. Recent fads include sci fi (recently tore through Leviathan's Wake and sequels as well as Odyssey One series) and nonfiction (just bought a nice book by local university press about tuberculosis)
    3. Video games: My steam backlog and library are both formidable and imposing, and I'm always looking for more things to play. I am not actively a player of any consoles or handhelds
    4. Assorted nerd shit: I have passed out of a phase of very aggressively buying little toy soldiers because I could never convince my friends to play little toy soldiers with me, although my local area has a pretty vibrant Warmachine/Hordes scene. It might be an excuse for me to buy a Hordes army, or maybe one of the new Warmachine factions (Cyriss seems neat). RPG stuff is neat. I have a personal fondness for Dungeon World and Stars Without Number. I like the sandboxy open nature of these settings.

I was about to edit an amazon wishlist to share, but that part of Amazon does not appear to be functional for me right now.

Someone tell me how to feel about this.

My first thought was it was a cell phone or wireless carrier commercial. Then I saw @Elin 's post about how it is satire and that has convinced me that while it may not be a cell phone commercial now it will end up being one very soon.

Ok, I am going to need help here people:

    Previous post in plain text:
Even against reason you dare spread our missive
in time you will see that our vengeance is swift.
Verily, the time for action is now. I hope you've prepared yourself for your next gift.

Even as you read, the next step begins.
hope you have good memory, or smarty pants friends.

Only with smarts will you save them in time
Can you appreciate everything written in rhyme

go to imgur.com/ the first letter in the seven
not down below, but upwards, to heaven.

    Act quick! Solve soon!
This is not the end of the road, ye green goon."

Sadly had no time to do this today due to a sick child, and lots of poop.

From the child, not me. Looking at it now and certainly wouldn't mind pointers :)

the most important lines of this poem are:
go to imgur.com/ the first letter in the seven
not down below, but upwards, to heaven.

These two lines give you the instructions.

life's a game that you're bound to lose / like using a hammer to pound in screws
fuck up once and you break your thumb / if you're happy at all then you're god damn dumb
that's right we're on a fucked up cruise / God is dead but at least we have booze
bad things happen, no one knows why / the sun burns out and everyone dies

    @Mr_Grinch‌

Sorry - my shot at that didn't work. I guessed that the URL was imgur.com/XXXXXXX where the Xs were the first letter of the seven Heavenly virtues (as opposed to the seven deadly sins). I tried the English and Latin variants, but neither worked. Maybe (L)ove instead of (C)harity / (C)aritas will work?

You're thinking too hard. Everything you need is in the poem.

Also don't forget that imgur URLs are case-sensitive.

    For real this time!

Two separate packages, delivered by separate services. They arrived almost together, so that's a feat.
    Molly the Pug looks worried.

    s9vhxn7oant8.jpg
Inside the first package is a really rad pack of Destiny posters. I haven't cracked em open yet but the previews on the back are gorgeous. This is a really cool thing!

    sb862jsjp29v.jpg
Inside the second package, straight from Blizzard's gaping maw, is a Raynor Pop! figure and Heroes of the Storm t-shirt. I've been yearning for something to put on my desk at work to confuse all the old people I work with, and this should do it! And something to wear on casual Friday? Maybe not, but a really cool tee that will see plenty of wear.

Thanks for the haul Santa, reveal yourself!

Glad you like them Figgy. I was worried about the Blizzard package since it hadn't shipped out for over a week after I ordered it, but apparently the timing was just perfect.
