All three of those fencers are true lefties (Chida Kenta, Miyake Ryo and Awaji Suguru). Partially it might be intentional, but partially it's because many male japanese foil fencers are lefties.
It might be because being a lefty is a slight advantage in olympic fencing but a massive disadvantage in kendo. The womens side of the sport is much closer to the norm.
