Yeah, it'd be fun to do a series of monsters or dragons or aliens... maybe characters from fairy tales? I need to spend some time doodling and see what I come up with.
There's also the children's room art, both the stuff I did and the stuff I came up with but didn't end up doing like the skateboarding bunnies.
Fairy tales would be cool, especially if you got at some of the more monster/dragon oriented ones. One of the things I always loved about your Christmas and kobold illustrations is the more narrative quality to them, they have a bit more mood and are more engaging than just character busts.
There are some things I enjoy drawing and could probably make print series out of: dinosaurs, dragons, animals, etc.
I was running with your suggestion of scenes with narrative before bed last night and came up with some cool ideas. I like the idea of doing drawings of scenes from a story that doesn't exist. The character(s) caught in the middle of some everyday activity or mid-action: repairing a spaceship, sitting around a campfire, eating ice cream... The trick is going to be coming up with ideas that are simple enough that I actually follow through with them.
I don't think they have to be very complicated, I hope you find something fun to do. All I see now are dragons/dinosaurs eating icecream and sitting around a campfire.
I'm picturing an imaginary world where anthropomorphic animals, robots, fantasy creatures, humans and whatever the hell else I feel like drawing exist together and doing just sort of "slice of life" scenes.
This is freaking awesome! I love what you did to define the planes (I think that's what it is) where instead of throwing just one line you did a bit of hatching.
