Big McLargeHuge is hilarious because it's just a blunt distillation of what all the other nicknames are hinting at. Zero subtlety or "cleverness".
Likewise, "Bob Johson" always cracks me up.

They've redone a few on Rifftrax, and they're usually really good and really different. I assume they only redo an episode if they have enough new jokes to feel it's worth it (since even in the Joel era, Mike was one of the main writers).
Nice! Have you seen the re-done Manos: The Hands of Fate? I haven't checked it out yet, since the original MST3K episode seems like it'd be hard to top. Thumbs up or thumbs down?
I love Joel and Trace and they have their own distinct style which worked well for them, but for me the dream riffing team will always be Mike, Kevin and Bill.

The Manos redo was pretty great
I've only seen it once though so I can't remember a single joke

FYI, there's a sale going on at Rifftrax currently! Use coupon code LEARN for 15% off of stuff. Might be a good time to check out a riff you've had your eye on. I'm considering Rock n' Roll Nightmare, myself
So Rollergator is definitely the most depressing film I've seen in years
The whole thing was written, shot, and acted like a local low-budget kids' show. But it is in no way for kids. I just feel so bad for everyone involved.
Also it features one of the least explicable smash cuts I've ever seen.

HELP I'M FALLING AT A SIXTY DEGREE ANGLE DEFYING ALL OF THE LAWS OF PHYSICS
There's ones I really love, but on the whole, I preferred Cinematic Titanic for my modern riffing needs!
Shame they had to stop doing that. Their live shows were killer

"ZEP IS NEVER WRONG, MAN"
Or that, you know, the leading actress wrote the movie.
"What?!?"
"Hey, look, you wrote this crap."
But now having gone back to watch it to double-check my quotes, I realized that the Soultakers are psychopomps.
So... waiting for that Joe Estevez appearance in Gunnerkrigg now.
