I actually just screamed, "What the fuck?!" at that ending
I expect that he's gonna learn how to breathe in space, leading to more Lion-space stuff.
Next ep
is called Bubbled and the description is literally something like "Steven's in a bubble".
Probably going to be a whole flashback ep about what Rose did while he waits to be saved (or die in space while the rest of the show is all about lovable Peridot's adventures and bringing the gang's spirits back up)

So, only one world in her domain. Was she new? The youngest of the diamonds, perhaps?
probably just the newest colony and it was to belong to pink diamond
Yes, when the mural was made, Earth was certainly the newest colony. I've suspected that these murals depict the number of worlds the diamonds manage at the time the murals were made. I think this is the only one depicting Pink in this style at all. Since they're made to honor the diamonds, it doesn't make sense to me that they would depict Pink only holding one world unless it was her only (read "first").
Is time a gift or punishment?

Back to the Moon
The most interesting thing to me in this episode was the Rubies' perspective on Jasper. She's not just a war machine, she's a hero, a paragon of Homeworld ideals. I can't help but imagine that all this praise and adulation is just a bitter reminder of her own failure to protect Pink Diamond.

I mean, there is a place literally called home world. And
They referred to the earth as an outpost. And gems have been referred to in the past as a species that are basically like galactic viruses in how they spread, take over planets, and subjugate them to further their race (or whatever agenda the diamonds have).

I mean, let's be fair. Just about any species that branches out into intergalactic travel and colonization is gonna take part in some form of terraforming to ensure their survival.

Dude,
They have macrophage structures. Macrophage structures. They weren't 'terraforming' either, they were going to consume the resources of the planet to make new gems and commit universal genocide on organic life.
Edit: like, it is not a straight line from Gems -> Virus but they have worked very hard to make the parallels obvious and in the foreground

I think it's possible that
Rose shattering Pink Diamond is what started the war. Which is why she blames herself for the corruption wave, and also Bismuth.

Can't be.
According to Eyeball, Rose started the rebellion, and then went too far after that.
And Jasper was born in the Beta Kindergarten; which was built in a desperate attempt to make more soldiers to fight against the rebellion. Jasper also knew Pink Diamond as her Diamond.
The war had to have been in full swing before Rose shattered Pink Diamond.

Plus Jasper emerged in the middle of a fight with the Crystal Gems, and yeah, knew Pink Diamond

No, I mean
when was it revealed that Jasper emerged during a fight with the crystal gems?

Maybe I misheard, but in the new episode:
Didn't Ruby say it while praising Jasper? Or maybe Ruby said it.

I just remember her saying
Jasper came out of the ground with her helmet on, like, as a metaphor for how battle ready she was. I didn't think she mentioned a battle with the Cystal Gems.

She mentions that she killed 30 crystal gems before sun down.

It wasn't "She came out of the ground with her helmet and defeated 80 Crystal Gems?" Maybe I'm conflating things but I remember something like that.

Right,
but there was no indication from her that there was an actual battle at the kindergarten when she emerged.
And hearing her, it sounds just like obvious hyperbole of heroic efforts by the homeworld champion. Born with a spear in hand and killed a thousand men before breakfast type of thing.

Well it definitely happened once fighting had already started. And had been going on for long enough for extensive damage to local infrastructure to be a problem. Probably not literally with the beta kindergarten under attack though.
Likewise, the fact that Jasper cares so much about losing her diamond implies that she, you know, knew her diamond. (or of her, at the very least) So that implies Rose shattered Pink Diamond long after the rebellion started since she shattered her after the beta kindergarten was completed.
Rough timeline hypothesis:
1. Pink Diamond starts colony on Earth.
2. Rose is created.
3. Something, who knows what, causes Rose to be willing to turn her back on literally her entire culture and stated purpose to follow her ideals.
4. Rebellion starts.
5. Garnet joins the rebellion. Other diamonds are on Earth. (Blue, and probably the rest as well.)
6. ???
7. Rose shatters Pink Diamond
8. The other diamonds GTFO
9. They set off corruption... bomb... thing.
10. ???
11. Amethyst comes out of her hole. (It's Amethyst sized.)

Did Amethyst
Emerge before or after the corruption? Does not being born yet shield you from that? And she was the only one to not emerge with the others?
