Pretty good week this week. The three Dead Rising games are up digitally, plus the bundle will let you save about fifty cents if you're into getting all three at once. And Bioshock: The Collection does the same thing with its three games in a much more convenient way. Also, yes, it is necessary to say that Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 is out this week and hopefully it ends up as fun as the first one was.
Vita still gets MeiQ and Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness (which is also on PS4). And there's a big honkin' sale if nothing new catches your fancy.
Is it possible to delete installed DLC and reinstall it? I wanna reinstall some borked Deus Ex pre-order stuff, but I have no idea how to do it in 4.0.

Well what are you looking for? Storage space or speed? I quite like my 1TB SSHD, as it gives a nice little performance boost for the cost and I haven't run out of room yet (though I tend to delete most games I've finished or have no interest playing).

I don't think we've ever been able to delete specific DLC or patches, have we? You have to delete the whole thing and reinstall it.

Do it. I found a Seagate 2TB external on sale late last year and did the swap for my son and I. I have yet to need to delete anything and we have gone almost exclusively digital.
I forget the exact model (and I'm at work) but when I get home I'll look it up. Added bonus is I slapped the 500gb from the PS4 in the external enclosure and reformatted; it is currently doubling the capacity of my Xbone.

Despite my earlier concerns, once I got through the initial hump of "I don't think change!", Pac-Man CE2 is actually fun.
The thing to note is that it's different from the previous games, but they also built their entire infrastructure around the changes: it's much more strategic than before, where you've got new tech like using the bomb as a shortcut rather than to avoid hits, or predicting where a fleeing ghost is going to go. It's also insanely fast, to the point that it would be otherwise impossible to play if ghosts were an immediate instant kill. It's also visually astonishing: the 3D view when you munch up a ghost train looks incredible, and made what was already a cool effect feel new again.
So again, it's a completely different experience, which honestly is something lots of game sequels should strive for.

Separate purchase HOWEVER a discount for season pass holders (me!). I still gotta get Bikes, that game is bloody good looking. Think I'll hold off the bikes shit until there's a VR equivalent.
The DLC is tough but fun once you are strong enough for it. You can also suicide run through to get weapons. I did that for the Whirligig Saw and do not regret it (I actually fought halfway to it then sprinted the rest).
Edit: removed the item info. Yes, you are in a perfect position to get the DLC because it unlocks a little ways into the game, after the third (?) boss.

I really think it's the worse of the three and I'm wavering on it being "not good". They added WAY too many things that make you lose track of your Pac-Man. The bumping ghosts mechanic is ridiculous and I'm not liking the ghost chains either.
The Old Hunters is pretty universally praised for containing some of the best content in the game, and is generally on the harder end of the BB spectrum.
On the other hand, if you're not past the first boss and have no plans to continue, no reason to pick it up. It'll be on sale again someday.

Ultimately, the reviews I've been able to find only bemoan the fact that the drive doesn't perform as well as an SSD :?
Personally, I'll try to do a time trial comparison on loading into Destiny and The Division (and maybe toss in a few rounds of BF4/Hardline to the highly unscientific benchmarks) between my current drive (HGST Travelstar 7200 1tb drive) and the Seagate.

Hmm, didn't get my PLAY coupon despite buying Bound and ABZU. This happened last year too with a similar promotion, I tried talking to their customer service but they wouldn't give me one. I wonder if it's worth the effort to try again. Anyone have any tips for this?
I liked at a gameplay v video of Aragami and initial impressions of Tenchu are thrown out the window. Stealth kills aren't stealthy at all and you just sort of warp around, no animations.
Well lords of the fallen is alright I guess for a free game but I wouldn't have bought that. The enemies are annoying to fight for a while, then your spells crush them.
If some of the audio starts to disapear, expect to crash a little while later(5-10 minutes maybe?), probably out of mem. Happened to me twice.

Pretty good week this week. The three Dead Rising games are up digitally, plus the bundle will let you save about fifty cents if you're into getting all three at once. And Bioshock: The Collection does the same thing with its three games in a much more convenient way. Also, yes, it is necessary to say that Pac-Man Championship Edition 2 is out this week and hopefully it ends up as fun as the first one was.
Vita still gets MeiQ and Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness (which is also on PS4). And there's a big honkin' sale if nothing new catches your fancy.

Well what are you looking for? Storage space or speed? I quite like my 1TB SSHD, as it gives a nice little performance boost for the cost and I haven't run out of room yet (though I tend to delete most games I've finished or have no interest playing).
I don't think we've ever been able to delete specific DLC or patches, have we? You have to delete the whole thing and reinstall it.
Do it. I found a Seagate 2TB external on sale late last year and did the swap for my son and I. I have yet to need to delete anything and we have gone almost exclusively digital.
I forget the exact model (and I'm at work) but when I get home I'll look it up. Added bonus is I slapped the 500gb from the PS4 in the external enclosure and reformatted; it is currently doubling the capacity of my Xbone.

Bloodborne, Witcher 3, DriveClub, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Rocket League and a bunch of other DLC on sale. Also, UFC 2 is the deal of the week.
The thing to note is that it's different from the previous games, but they also built their entire infrastructure around the changes: it's much more strategic than before, where you've got new tech like using the bomb as a shortcut rather than to avoid hits, or predicting where a fleeing ghost is going to go. It's also insanely fast, to the point that it would be otherwise impossible to play if ghosts were an immediate instant kill. It's also visually astonishing: the 3D view when you munch up a ghost train looks incredible, and made what was already a cool effect feel new again.
So again, it's a completely different experience, which honestly is something lots of game sequels should strive for.

I have The Old Hunters but haven't started it, so I'm not sure. I think you have to get to a certain point in the game before you can start it, how far are you into it?
It does sound like DriveClub VR will be a separate purchase, yeah. But then again, DriveClub Bikes kinda already is too, it has its own trophy list, platinum and everything. I'm hoping for a Pro patch before I try to get back into it.

Separate purchase HOWEVER a discount for season pass holders (me!). I still gotta get Bikes, that game is bloody good looking. Think I'll hold off the bikes shit until there's a VR equivalent.

I really think it's the worse of the three and I'm wavering on it being "not good". They added WAY too many things that make you lose track of your Pac-Man. The bumping ghosts mechanic is ridiculous and I'm not liking the ghost chains either.
No games have been patched with HDR support yet. I believe they won't be til nearer the release of the Pro.
On the other hand, if you're not past the first boss and have no plans to continue, no reason to pick it up. It'll be on sale again someday.
But if you're bouncing off the first boss and going eh, purchasing it would be very impulsive. :P
I've heard Rainbow 6 did and have friends who play it like every night; wondering if the same applies to The Crew.
I will admit, I'm not well-versed in computer hardware. Anyone use this particular drive in their PS4?
I'm about to (put in my order last night right after I made that post). Now, granted, it is a 5400RPM drive (which is the rotation speed of the default drives in both the PS4 and XB1)...but, from what I've been able to find, data transfer speeds are going to be bottlenecked by the PS4's wireless-N adapter rather than the drive itself. Ultimately, the reviews I've been able to find only bemoan the fact that the drive doesn't perform as well as an SSD :?
Personally, I'll try to do a time trial comparison on loading into Destiny and The Division (and maybe toss in a few rounds of BF4/Hardline to the highly unscientific benchmarks) between my current drive (HGST Travelstar 7200 1tb drive) and the Seagate.
I think you mean the SATA II interface, which is limited to just a 3 Gb/s transfer rate, not the wireless adapter. I don't think 7200RPM drives are fast enough for this to make a difference for them but it definitely slows down SSHDs and SSDs. I can understand why Sony (and Microsoft) didn't bother going with SATA III interfaces though, as it'd be an extra cost for the tiny number of people who'd bother installing SSDs into consoles.
Anywho, I just bought Gravity Rush Remastered while it's on sale on the PAL PSN because it's at a pretty great price and it's not going to get any cheaper before Gravity Rush 2 comes out. Now I just need to find the time to play it.
