One of them, preferably Anderson, should open with a difficult question to Hillary immediately. One of the main talking points against her. That way she can dunk it and Trump loses the unfair mods argument immediately.

the hoo, boy! that was a lot of stuff! or whatever she said was good
because she had already done some variation on that a couple times in response to his rambling but this time she nailed it and the audience laughed and I was like "dear lord thank you for not making Hillary come out of this looking like the stiff nerd to trump's charismatic bully"
does anyone have a clip of this by any chance
googling "hoo boy hillary clinton" is mostly pulling up stuff like
"Hoo boy Hillary sure is a (string of horrible slurs)"
See if you can find a video where trump talks about his temperament. Her response was like right after that.
Essentially they were mod endorsed, Maxim level soft porn threads. They were pretty horrible and I'm glad we got rid of them. Unbelievably, that was actually a politically difficult thing to do.
Looking at political threads from 8 years ago, the difference in gendered language was pretty surprising.
God, I hope that isn't the one thing undecided voters hear about the debate.

I'm not sure Trump can maintain his composure through an entire debate. His whole thing is his "passion" and the fact he "tells it like it is" and I think that works so hard against him in a debate format.

oh yeah, the "woo! ok" and the "well that sure was, a lot of things, that were just... said" (paraphrasing) bit were two different occasions
Appropriately for Trump's campaign, "bias" in this case means "lack of positive bias" as opposed to actual negative bias. His whole platform is basically predicated on the "persecution of the majority" complex.

Setting people get angry about fact checking is surreal
But I guess maybe that seems more normal when your candidate and facts are diametrically opposed

I imagine a moderator-less debate would just become a knife fight about six minutes in, yeah?
Also I had considered it before, but now I really wanna donate some dollars to Hillary's campaign next paycheck.

it didn't sound like he was sniffing so much as sharply inhaling every two seconds because he kept running out of air

His breathing is weird in public because he's used to a much higher brimstone content in the air race breathes.
Can you imagine what a Trump State of the Union would sound like?

I noticed that instead of calling him Trump or "my opponent" she just kept calling him Donald. And it worked! His whole name recognition is from Trump, so somehow constantly calling him Donald seem to both ignore and acknowledge him.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

I thought his usage of "Secretary Clinton" was sort of interesting.

i mentioned this yesterday and someone pointed out that he also had agreed to refer to her as Secretary Clinton, so it was the exact opposite of the power dynamic that he would have wanted to roll with. I hadn't even thought about that aspect at the time.

You know, in retrospect I'm sure he meant it to be insulting, but considering that it was a fucking Presidential debate all it did was make her sound more qualified.

Just wait until you hear his concession speech! Ooooh it's gonna be great!
"It's going to be the great- - the greatest concession of all time. People are going to be - people are saying that it'll be just the best concession. Hillary won't even know what hit her when I give my concession. Trust me, it's going to be amazing." Note to self: have someone look up what the word 'concession' means.

it too reminds people that he's just a private citizen, has not held an office, and that he's not a person she holds as a peer--there's no professional courtesy of mr. so-and-so
kinda funny how she's using his first name here to make him seem smaller, less monolithic, yet uses her own first name in campaign materials to do the same thing to herself willingly

I guess we've all grown up a bit.

Ten years ago the forum probably would've voted Trump.
I went back to see how terrible I was once and it was pretty bad. I don't recommend it.

Martha Raddatz and Anderson Cooper.
Keep in mind that Lester is a registered Republican too.
Cooper might just destroy Trump.
the trolls are overcompensating
Well, confidently bombarding everyone with obvious lies is sort of the Trump campaign's favorite play.

now Trump can look mature and presidential simply by showing up!

jesus this is the first time I've seen them speak together
how
how could anyone watch that and think trump could lead a cub scout troop across a road much less than an entire country
my stars
There is a large part of the country that is tired of the "polished politician" myself included.
But not so tired of it I would consider voting for Trump.
Yeah, I'm also tired of polished doctors. I want my doctor to go in there and really wing it, try somethin out and see how it works.
I thought his usage of "Secretary Clinton" was sort of interesting.
I can. Believe me.

He completely snubbed Lester Holt last night. That's what happens when he loses.

"Thank you, Palmer Luckey" is the complete sentence there.
Hey, anything that gets his echo chamber to make him repeat last night's performance.
