All we know about the Remnant is that they have tech laying around. There's a fan theory that they're Protheans what ran from the Milky Way, but that's total speculation. I wonder if conflict with the Kett comes into play due to Ryder and friends messing with Remnant tech.

Turns out it's just the Protheans again.
    Works for me.

I think my build is going to depend on the sibling I play as. Scott (or whatever I name him) will probably be closer to Infiltrator than anything else, and Sarah (or whatever I name her) will be closer to... Adept or Vanguard. At least initially.

It's very hard for me to play Mass Effect without Biotic Charge at this point.

We're reading Rifts. You should too. You know you want to. Now With Ninjas!

I always played Shep as just a soldier

It always felt a lot more core to the character, that you're surrounded by a bunch of crazy aliens with space magic and tech powers and everything else, but you keep up with them just through being a badass at shooting things

It's hard for me to not play a cowboy cop on the edge, arguing with da chief. The Paragon path is pretty grating, for me at least.

Disappointing that a lot of the political Renegade stuff was stupid "Earth first" nativism rather than a hatred of red tape in general.

Cryo Beam, Charge, and Nova will be my inital set.

If Cryo Beam starts losing its effectiveness later in the game it'll be replaced by tactical cloak if possible. If not then some health or energy drain ability.

God could you imagine combining charge with tactical cloak?

I'm just assuming the enemy will have a biotic or tech shield protecting them from the initial charge.

Otherwise it'll be the other enemies doing the talking.

"Oh god! Steve's dead! But how?!"

And then I'll nova them and start the process again.

Really what I want to do is be able to pick up a dude with whatever biotic power that was, run into a group of his friends, and beat the shit out of him with a hammer. I'm hoping it leads to the scenario in ME2 where enemies sometimes glitch out and do nothing but scream at the sight of Shepard They know that the biggest, baddest motherfucker has arrived.

Just re-watched the trailers for the original Mass Effect, and noticed that version of Shepard was a Vanguard; he had the shotgun out, but still used biotics. There was also a moment with a Sniper Rifle, but that can easily be a bonus 'power'.

    Huh.

The Charge should explode the Singularity, and probably kills them all.

    Sounds about right to me.

My go to ME2 crew was Garrus and Samara. They were specialists of tech and biotic respectively that could use an assault rifle.

Will the squadmates in ME:A have weapon restrictions or are they able to use any weapon like Ryder?

I genuniely can;t remember what it was like in ME3, I rolled with Garrus and Ashley and gave them both revenants because fuck it.

    The ME1 strategy is back!

    Maximum radius singularity!
Throw meanest grenade you have into the ball!
Clay pidgeon shooting, except with a mattock and whatever survived the blast!

Alternatively, singularity and then cain. Because sometimes you run out of grenades!

With the heat sink style returning the slow methodical approach will be viable barring firm time limits or never ending enemy spawns.

It will just be 99% less awesome than Vanguard charging them all to death, like a real warrior.

I like playing John Wick style. Sentinel with tech armor, whatever gun suits the situation, and always the hardest hitting pistol I can carry for when I want to pretend I'm a sniper. Which is always. I never get tired of sniper pistol headshots.

Then you'd technically be a Sentinel and not a Vangod though! Assuming that Tech Armor is the bonus ability for Sentinel because it is not a base ability.

Speaking of, I wonder what the bonus ability for Vangod is going to be?
