    Was it in that mission where:
    You had to hunt down some psycho mother fucker in his own house?

    I had trouble getting that old lady to stand down.

    I found that a bean-bag fired out of a shotgun made her shut her damn mouth.

    Do you lose points for executing civilians?

    Sounds like a non-lethal barrage is in order for that lady
    It prolly is the Fairfax mission, since that's the first old lady you run into in the campaign.

    And I noticed that in the expansion...
    Along with the new weapons (lethal and non-lethal), you gained the ability to throw a punch so if you're up close and personal with a perp and don't have time to whip out your tase you can punch him and possibly gain compliance that way. However, I've read that the same punch can be more harmful to civilians/hostages where you may end up injuring or even killing them. That's one helluva punch.

    What time do you guys usually play? I might be online (UK Time).

    Also, are you playing vanilla SWAT 4 or expansion?

    Um, yes? I think that'll fail you the whole mission right then and there, if not then it deducts enough points that it's usually the case anyway.

    I don't remember ever killing anyone that way. I'm pretty certain it's safe.

    We're playing Vanilla Swat v1.1, if there are problems with patching, which I noticed, then we go back to v1.0 if it's okay with the rest.

    In addition, I also noticed that a lot of the public servers are running 1.0 without the patch, so I'm guessing there are some problems with the patch.

    Hamachi never works for me :/
    And I can't host games either because my router lets me forward ports but doesn't actually do it then.

    Honestly we didn't encounter any bugs with the patch. And we played like six missions.

    Also we couldn't get Hamachi LAN game hostimg working right either, so we just made an Internet game and connected to the IP listed in Hamachi.

    To be fair, a lot of them are Hispanic.

    It's funny, there were some goofy oversights with audio clips that would play when arresting people, so you'd sometimes end up with hardcore ultra-right nationalists spouting curses at you in Spanish. The insults are supposed to be pretty generic, but they don't always go along with who you're supposed to be arresting in the given mission.

    Yes, I get that problem with SWAT4. So what I usually do is get someone to host a game and connect to the IP listed on Hamachi. I'll put this up on the front page.

    I'm thinking next time I play co-op I'm gonna go for more of a technician role. optiwand, 3 wedges, pepper spray. Light armour & helmet. C2. Silenced SMG and 9mm pistol. Let you guys in the heavy armour take the lead while I blow down doors and block escape routes.

    When playing Stechkov I was usually on Grenade Launcher duty. I make sure that suspects can't fire for the searing pain of 100 rubber coated ball bearings.

    My favourite game mode in SWAT 4 after co-op was usually VIP escort. It makes for some really awesome standoffs when the suspects have the VIP and you've got the two minute counter ticking down.

    OK, I'm in the Hamachi channel. What do I need to do to join in? I've never used Hamachi before.

    EDIT: Oh, and for some useful information: SWAT 4 doesn't natively support widescreen but you can fix that pretty easily (thanks to widescreen gaming forum).

    Simply head into your SWAT 4 > Content > System directory and find the file labelled Swat4.ini

    In there look for the following text strings

    WindowedViewportX=
    WindowedViewportY=
    FullscreenViewportX=
    FullscreenViewportY=

    Replace the values listed with your resolution. So in my case it was:

    WindowedViewportX=1680
    WindowedViewportY=1050
    FullscreenViewportX=1680
    FullscreenViewportY= 1050
