Samurai Champloo. I never hear anyone talk about it but it's just as good as Cowboy Bebop and everyone who liked that should watch it. I don't care that you don't like hiphop, just watch it. Christ.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. It's slow, thoughtful, occasionally philosophical, subdued, rarely funny, and has maybe one action sequences per episode, if that. And yet it's one of the best television series I've ever watched. Both series are on Netflix Instant, so watch it and see if it tickles your fancy as much as it does mine.

Big O. Basically it's Batman except instead of dressing up as a bat he climbs into a giant robot. This show is engineered from the ground up to be the coolest thing since sliced bread and it succeeds on a huge level.

G Gundam. THIS HAND OF MINE IS BURNING RED! IT'S LOUD ROAR TELLS ME TO GRASP VICTORY!

Seriously though if giant robots kung fu fighting makes you happy in any way, you should watch G Gundam.

Sub point. If clawing your eyes out thru the back of your head makes you happy, watch the dub of G Gundam that aired on Cartoon Network instead of the sub. It's that much more enjoyable in english.
I actually can't bring myself to watch this sub'd after having been exposed to exactly two dub'd episodes. What was heard cannot be unheard.

The other shows are all awesome in both dub and sub'd.

BSG is only the tip of the Iceberg, though, heavy linked storytelling anime like Code Geass, Gundam 00, and EVA are REALLY annoying about it.

You know what, I just realized that I'm not even sure you're talking about new BSG and not old BSG. Because I could totally see you saying that old BSG had too much continuity.

    This is awesome,but in a more..how should I put it...slower epic way.

The original lion, especially with the vocals just keeps jumping/pushing/forcing you forward, it's really awesome and hits the point of the show home like none other.
It's the kind of song you watch while people fly into an enemy army, crash into a giant ship and take it out from the inside without ever stopping.

I love it. Also the entire almost 8minute long songmedley in Frontier ep25 has a part of Lion overlapping with "you're my star" and it just blows me away.

    Here you go.

Alternatively you can use NicoSound to grab it from the source if you've a nico account.
For MP3s you can use Nico Sound to grab them. Enter the url of the Nico video MP3 you want in the text box, click the MP3 button then click the one that says パソコンへ転送 to download.

The above video in Nico Sound

I've recorded myself several times in vent, but when trying to join it to a video using windows movie maker, it just fails out. I think something goes wrong when i turn youtube video into usable wmv video that for whatever reason isn't working right in WMM.

so then I felt like rewriting the lyrics so the syllable count is the same as the japanese version. that way, after singing it in english a few times, you'll have the correct rhythm no matter what you're reading, so the japanese one will be easier. then got lazy and haven't gotten to it yet

There's an extended version with less abrupt transitions on one of the soundtracks (Nyan Tama). The original is 7:29, the extended version is 12:25. Nyan Tama also has Infinity #7, which I've been waiting for since episode 7 :P
