Alright, Tube doesn't know I'm doing this, but I am running an experiment on figuring out interesting ways to fund the forums. As many of you know, forums.pa.com are pretty massive at this point, and bandwidth, servers etc. aren't cheap... but I can swallow those costs for the most part. What I *can't* do right now is really give back to the mods in a way that is more than xmas gifts etc, so here's my experiment.

It will get you 10% off your entire purchase.

The discount is actually more of a tracking mechanism for me rather than an incentive for you to buy. You know how people say 5% of proceeds go to blah da blah charity? Well, for all purchases using this code, I'm giving half the proceeds to Tube. Yes, there are pick/pack fees, cost of the product etc, but half the profits I'm sending to Cardboard Tube. You may love him, you may hate him, but this place does seem to run pretty well while the guy is around.

Only exception on the products are the arenanet ones. Everything else - shirts, posters, books, polos, prints... all count.

Please post all complaints below. We'll see how this little pilot program goes.

Edit: Remind me next time to not talk about merch after 3 AM PST... everyone up at this time is from some other country that requires expensive shipping.

    He spends more time here and deals with enough extra shit just by being at the top as it is. Then factor in unseen PMs and e-mails and what I know from my stint as interim admin, and if there's ever a way to get him some kind of consistent compensation for what he volunteers to do here, I'll gladly support it until my fingers are bloody, ineffective typing stumps.

    This thread'll definitely make his grinchy heart grow three full sizes, but he'll probably die of a brain hemorrhage before he sincerely admits to being happily surprised.

    If you wanted to give money straight to Tube you could always donate to his record fund.

    I wouldn't recommend just giving money to mods though, the last time that happened it ended pretty badly.

    This is great. It's motivated me to buy the t-shirt I wanted (Tube is amazing and deserves something back for all the work he does...Khoo is also amazing...)

    EDIT: the motivation being that I always pause to buy PA stuff 'cos the shipping is nearly as much as the t-shirt (o.k. a slight exaggeration, but I think it's about $12 'cos I live in UK-land).
