I used to have a yellow pages book that was for web pages.

As in, if you wanted to find a certain web page, you would look it up...in a book.

I was rocking the internet in '95, I think it was.

I was in uni in Illinois, and I had woken up late for Political Science 121... like, so late that there was no point in going

I was freaking out about missing class and was about to send an E-mail to my professor right after I'd brushed my teeth

I come out of the bathroom, and my friend from down the hall is all "holy shit did you hear what happened"

and I was all "no what I just woke up"

and she was all "they fucking blew up the world trade centre and the pentagon"

I gave her this look that was basically whaaaaaaaaat no way you're shitting me right

and she gets what I'm thinking and she's all "no seriously come on we're watching the news"

and we basically spent the whole day parked in front of a TV, watching the news and sending E-mails to people we knew were in New York

    it was pretty surreal, actually

I can't find that little news article picture, but you guys remember the guy cheating on his wife. Terrified, she calls him to ask where he is. He says "at the office, (meaning WTC) why?" when in actuality he was at his mistress's place getting his yiff on.

EDIT: Oh and the terrorists almost got Seth.
Experience with September 11, 2001 attacks
On the morning of September 11, 2001, MacFarlane was scheduled to return to Los Angeles on American Airlines Flight 11 from Boston, Massachusetts, after delivering a keynote speech at his alma mater. Suffering from a hangover from the previous night's celebrations,[81] and with an incorrect departure time (8:15 a.m. instead of 7:45 a.m.) from his travel agent,[82] he arrived at Logan International Airport sometime around 7:30 and was unable to board the flight as the gates had been closed.[82] Fifteen minutes after departure, American Airlines Flight 11 was hijacked,[83] and at 8:46 a.m. was flown into the North Tower of the World Trade Center, later destroying the building.[84]
In an interview with TVShowsOnDVD.com, MacFarlane said the following about his close call:
“ "The only reason it hasn’t really affected me as it maybe could have is I didn’t really know that I was in any danger until after it was over, so I never had that panic moment. After the fact, it was sobering, but people have a lot of close calls; you’re crossing the street and you almost get hit by a car… this one just happened to be related to something massive. I really can’t let it affect me because I’m a comedy writer. I have to put that in the back of my head."[85]

Viv, the lack of apathy you had when you realized you were missing a single class really makes me feel bad about the fact that I went many semesters where I'd be surprised if there was a single week where I made it to all of my courses.

There were some courses where I'd go maybe five or six times all semester.

I had this one course where I went a few days early on, and then only showed up to take the exam and final after that.

Edit: Shit I probably did link it wrong. It's because they do this thing where when one video ends they load up the next one, and I had let my browser idle for a while

Any time I see something where they hired him on to design a character or monster, it's usually shit that looks like something a kid would doodle in high school.

I told him to at least watch the counter if he's going to watch that stupid bullshit again, instead he watched some fucking provincial rugby game that doesn't even involve a team he's interested in.

It was kind of wierd when this happened. I was up late watching telly with my parents, and the show stopped and the news came on. They're showing the first tower burning, and I'm thinking, what the fuck happened to cause that?

The news guys are saying there are reports of a terrorist attack involving an aircraft, and I'm all like, nah, nobody would be stupid enough to do that.

Then we see the second plane hit on the live feed, and I was all "So, this is how WW3 starts. I hope there aren't very many people in the towers..."

At the end of the episode he brought a puppy out from under the desk. It was amazing how much that animal kept me from thinking about all the awful events for just a few moments.

Eighth grade English class, left and front of the room. I remember being told what was happening and then watching it for about 45 minutes. Most of us weren't really old enough to grasp what was going on, so for the rest of the day it didn't really seem like anything was happening.

Does anyone else remember early reports that Capitol Hill and been attacked as well, or am I just making it up?
