Brother Voodoo was pretty awesome in the two issues of old Blade stories I read that he showed up in.

I think at the time he and blade were both depowered or something. They lost their connection from.... whatever.

I can't even remember. I just remember being surprised that I knew who BV was when he became SS.

Now I'm kind of tempted to read both his ongoing and Waid's Strange book.

Supposedly Frank will get torn up by Osborn during the events of the Punisher 'The List' special, when Osborn dedicates a whole afternoon for him, HAMMER and the Dark Avengers to kill Frank once and for all.

If I was the guy who gets to write solicitations, every one would have that tagline, but only for the most inappropriate things in the issue.

"You wanted it, you demanded! Speedy's HIV results return positive! Don't miss it!"

"We got your letters! We got your e-mails! This issue, Sue Dibny gets raped! Catch it!"

"Hey drunken hobo stumbling aimlessly down that alleyway where I went to take a piss after I tried hooking up with that tranny in that bar that one time when I was really drunk (I swear!) and lonely! You saw my Superman t-shirt and proclaimed, 'Su'erman? [indecipherable mumbling] 'e's a [indecipherable mumbling] FAAAAAGGIT!' Well sir, this one's for you! In stores October!"

There's a lot of stuff here that sounds really cool to me as someone who normally trade waits for Marvel.

On the other hand, there aren't as many trades appealing to me as there normally are.

Series and Minis I may jump on:
    -SIEGE
    -Doc Voodoo
-All of the Fall of Hulks issues written by Jeff Parker

    Tradewise:
MARVEL ADVENTURES SPIDER-MAN VOL. 14: THWIP! DIGEST
DEADPOOL VOL. 2: DARK REIGN TPB
    X-FORCE/CABLE: MESSIAH WAR TPB
    MINI MARVELS ULTIMATE COLLECTION GN-TPB

Also, I think it's interesting that they keep doing these distillations and rebirths of old events. First Clone Saga, then Armor Wars, and now Secret Wars.

    Yes.

I'm upset that their older reprints cost so much. It's possibly justifiable, but at the same time I can just pick up an Essential edition with twice as many issues for 2/3rds the price.

Essential X-Men 1 and 2 are pretty much required reading for every X-Fan. I know most of the people here own them or have at least read those stories in some way, but in general those volumes should be much more universal than they are.

Also, I did not spot that Mini Marvels collection. I'll be very much buying that!

It would be pretty awesome if the Ms. Marvel and Mystique fight went the way it should.

Which is to say, if there was all kinds of Mystique doing shape-shifting, espionage bullshit through the entire issue and then at the end, Ms. Marvel just drops Mystique in one or two panels without even thinking about it.

Lots of good stuff for December. So it looks like I'll be getting these that month:

    NEW AVENGERS ANNUAL #3
S.W.O.R.D. #2 (maybe, since the regular price is $2.99)
    THOR #605
    BLACK PANTHER #11
DOCTOR VOODOO: AVENGER OF THE SUPERNATURAL #3
    MIGHTY AVENGERS #32
    SPIDER-WOMAN #4
    X-FACTOR #200
DOCTOR VOODOO: THE ORIGIN OF JERICHO DRUMM (maybe. I'm not a fan of reprints that aren't TPBs)
    NEW AVENGERS #60
    SECRET WARRIORS #11
    WOLVERINE WEAPON X #8

    I'll eventually get these trades:
AGENTS OF ATLAS: DARK REIGN TPB (On-Sale 12/23/09)
DEADPOOL VOL. 2: DARK REIGN TPB (On-Sale 12/16/09)
INCREDIBLE HERCULES: DARK REIGN TPB (On-Sale 12/23/09)
    MINI MARVELS ULTIMATE COLLECTION GN-TPB (On-Sale 12/23/09)
MS. MARVEL VOL. 7: DARK REIGN TPB (On-Sale 12/9/09)
SECRET WARRIORS VOL. 1: NICK FURY, AGENT OF NOTHING TPB (On-Sale 12/16/09)
    X-FACTOR: OVERTIME PREMIERE HC (On-Sale 12/9/09)
    X-FORCE/CABLE: MESSIAH WAR TPB (On-Sale 12/23/09)
    X-MEN/SPIDER-MAN TPB (On-Sale 12/9/09)

Dark Beast talked about bringing him back in Endangered Species, because Nate never really died. He's just spread out into the genetic code of everyone on Earth (it was an Ellis Shaman story). Dark Beast said he can just gather all that energy up and bring Nate back. That would kill everyone on the planet, since Nate's the only thing keeping them alive, but whatev.

Who Will Wield the Shield? better not come down to a fist fight between Steve and Bucky. They should play freeze tag with the Avengers or Yahtzee to decide it, but a fight would be stupid.

Battle for the shield should be decided by fan vote. Totally.

Obviously Steve has to be Cap, even if he lets Bucky keep the title he will eventually wind up back in the silly blue suit so I don't really care. I would feel this way even if they didn't bring him back from the dead with a magic gun for just this purpose.

Actually one US Agent is only 3.5 too many but I like how you think Faynor.

Why keep Steve a Captain when he should be Rear Admiral of the Universe. He only saves the Earth every other second of the day and even didn't die when clearly he did die. But didn't.

Major Yankee sounds silly now, but in 50 years will be classic and beloved by all.

In case this is completely off topic allow me to insert a some topic: X-Man coming back. Good but not as good as it could be is my guess prior to getting my hands on a copy.

You know, this would actually be a good idea.

Just make it so that you have to give an e-mail address or something to help cut back on spam votes, and honor the results, it would be a good PR move on Marvel's part.

But if they pull a Blue Peter, that would suck.

USAgent has always been great. His origin is actually pretty cool, Force Works was bleh, but Maximum Security made him Judge Dredd light and in New Invaders he, Blazing Skull and Union Jack were totally awesome.
