Guess who finished her ZBrush modelllllllllllll

with 30 minutes to spare! :DD::D

I'm actually relatively happy with it...it's not my best work, but I mean...to get the entire thing done in an evening?...I'm happy. :)

I am not good at zbrush. You are good at zbrush.

Okay for now on my new strategy is to just stop people in the street and shit in their mouths until someone desperately tries to bargain their way out of it by offering me a job.

But I'm going to start with those guys at the valve design place if they don't call me back in the next ten minutes here.

Did you poast it ND? If not you should post it later, I wants to see!

A thing: is anyone else buying Lucidity today? This and Machinarium are getting me totally back into adventure games. Plus the art in both is gorgeous.

    I call beard on Charis.

For anyone to spend so much effort to annoy everyone around them so much by constantly bringing up that they're dating and fucking, they would either be attempting to masquerade something or trying to overcompensate for other shortcomings in their relationship.

holy crap out peoples court right now theres a dude

who hasnt paid a 17 year old painter for a painting he commissioned from him over craigslist

    because

    get this

his wife didn't like it and it was a present for her

(i think it's really good, especially for a 17 year old)

i was going to get food but now i have to see how this turns out

because this dude doesnt think he should have to pay for it since his wife didn't like it

Are small claims courts capable of setting any kind of legal precedent?

I mean...do people in small claims courts research past cases and be like "Look, your honor, in October of 2009 the court ruled in favor of this shmoe under these circumstances."?

i'm surprised no one just yelled at this guy with like, "wtf why do you think you dont have to pay for this?!"

apparently in an email this guy sent back (after a month later the guy was like 'hey dude wheres my money i dont want to have to get legal with this) he was all like "I RUN A COMPANY AND HAVE MANY BIG LAWYERS RARR ARARR YOU HAVE NOTHING TO STAND ON I DONT OWE YOU ANYTHING"

and then on tv he was made to pay a 17 year old about 300 bux.

    wooooo.

    keep your emails, artists!

man i have a few people i could sue. well okay, i have 2. one, i wouldn't. the other i sent an invoice to the other day. suing seems like too big of an effort.

My contract for work states that the client owes me my legal fees if I take them to court for not paying me in the first place.

Well in that case the bailiffs should hold the guy down and the 17 year old gets to kick him until he's gotten his money's worth.

And then the guy has to pay back what he owes

I really like that clause, Grenn. I should probably draw up a contract for my commission work. I kind of just do it.

Never had anything especially high dollar, though, and on the most expensive ones I've done, the guy actually payed me more because he was so happy with it.

But since I want to get into higher profile work, yeah. Hmm :|

    wahahaha
    well i do now

it seems like so much work to get the whole thing signed and all for like a 50 or 100 dollar commission

    but man

it is worth it just to teach people lessons

Also you have to find clients who want to buy your work. Remember that part.

Actually I think that part is more important than actually being good, from what I've seen

Number crunching for games is fun as hell! I always liked charting probabilities and stuff for die rolls in this game I was making not too far back. I would have kept going, too, except one of my friends pissed me off pretty bad while he was drunk and I haven't gotten around to getting back to it.

Hah, welcome to the wonderful world of video game development!

At least you're just telecommuting, so you can just take your pants off and look at naked girls while the programmers go on about matrices or whatever it is they go on about.
