    I don't see a spoiler.

All I see is someone saying that the second game in a trilogy has a cliffhanger ending.

I wouldn't really consider calling it cliffhanger-y a spoiler. I've only just finished memory section 5 and I've got over 7 hours into this game. It seems like with every hour of gameplay I love this game more and more. IT's so fantastic.

It's like the first Assassins Creed had a lovechild with GTA and Prince of Persia.

People having trouble with the fighting should definately go check out the villa tutorials. I totally ignored it, only just realising now that it not only opens up new moves, it also teaches you how to handle the individual types of opponent.

Also finished the game and... yowza.
So do we think AC3 will be primarily set in the future? Maybe jumping back in time will be the Desmond sequences of that one and the rest is all designing a giant missile to shank the sun.

Just used the flying machine and got the gun. Sweet. Also, spent most of my time trying to figure the Truth puzzles out. Have only 3 more left to find and the other 17 have been decoded. Sweet. I think I understand the entire thing now.
obvious spoilers are spoilered. Only click if you're done with the game or don't really give a shit.
Adam and Eve M I RITE!? Can't be that can it? Seems to obvious. Even with the whole Moon plot and aliens.

I seriously spend far too much time doing random shit. Easily put in over 20 hours and have about 4 sequences left to run through. The side missions, assassinations in particular are like full-on missions complete with micro story. Hell, everything seems to tie in to the main plot in mind-blowing met-plot.

Also, charging into guards stood at the edge of a bank and tackling them results in them being pushed into the water. But you don't fall in, oh no. You just dust yourself off and walk away. All badass like.

If that's what you consider a spoiler, why come into the thread at all? Did you get angry when someone mentioned that there's betrayal in a GTA game?

I don't think it's really a huge cliffhanger. At least not as much as the first. More like mass effect where it wraps up the stuff brought up but theres still more to be done.

Someone help me out here. Only click the spoiler if you've flown the flying device thing. The confusion regards someone you meet earlier than that but for crying out loud, don't ruin it for yourself.
Who the fuck is Maria? I'm assuming she was the Templar chick that stood in Sables' stead in AC1, the only target Altair doesn't kill or harm.... much. But that makes little sense since you don't get any inkling of romance between them. Do you even meet her before? And I get the baby thing, that shits' obvious.

    WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT

I don't see how saying that AC2 ends in a cliffhanger is a spoiler. If anything I'd say it was to be expected. If you're that sensitive about plot details then definitely avoid the thread entirely until you're done with the game.

The scene in AC2 takes place after Bloodlines, which is all about Altair and Maria. Also there's some discussion of Maria -- and even Adha in translated codex pages. You've been reading them, right?

Yeah I read about Adha, no idea what or who that is. I've yet to come across mention of Maria in name.though there is talk of a lady whom I assumed was her. Bloodlines is the PSP version right>? In which case, fuck that shit.

It was heavily implied that AC3 will involve them searching for "the temples" (super-awesome fallout shelters) so they can survive John Cusack's 2012 acting. There was a line something like "we'll have to look though history to find clues about their location."

I'm guessing it'll be half animus, half Desmond.

edit: Actually, I'm thinking it'll be entirely Desmond, only with about half of it being crazy hallucino-Desmond controlling someone else.

I thought this time there are enemies you can "counter" but he will only dodge the attack and create an opening instead of instantly killing them?

Yeah at the earlier parts of the game one counter and whatnot will kill anyone but once you get to the better guards with captains and heavily armored dudes you cant just counter or combo kill everyone.

A new, and easy way to kill folk: if you have certain weapons (swords, daggers... not hidden blade, no idea why not) you can grab people and slit their throat. Instead of tossing them to the ground and stabbing them. Of course some enemies resist being grabbed. One improvement I really like is that there is a lot of variety in how you can kill someone in combat, not just the animations but also the tactics involved.

My favorite is hiring mercenaries and just walking through combat hidden-blading people from behind.

You can use any weapon to kill them from behind... the sword animation is kind of funny though. You hold out the sword, and it just kind of glides through them.

Also, disarming people and killing them with their own weapons? Shit never gets old.

So, Truth File 10 brings me slinking back in here.

It's the one on the building out in Tuscany. I have some questions. :(
When you highlight the moon, it gives what appears to be a pigpen cipher, but I'm beating my head against a wall trying to figure out the key. It doesn't correspond to the standard Freemason one, and I wanted to know if anyone had translated it yet.

This game is so good, it actually made me forget that there was an AC1 because it is BETTER THAN AC1 IN ALL REGARDS.

Even though some stuff is a bit weird, like Ezio being a fucking Freerunning genius from the start, you just feel at home if you played the first. Only that your home is now much prettier and bigger and has more stuff in it and your family will help you out and everyone is having a great time.

Awesome, awesome game. Every bit as good as promised.

Oh fuck, those symbol visions. D:
I'm betting right now, some sort of ancient human technological bunker? As in Adam and Eve *did* exist and were the only ones to make it to an advanced fallout shelter of an Atlantis type civilization? It certainly makes sense with what we're told in the first game.

"We don't create them Mr. Miles, we find them."

    "From who?"

    "From those who came before."

    My favorite comedic moments,

    VAGINA!

    *Exasperated sigh* MOM.

    And of course,
    It's a me! Mario!

One quick question on the vision puzzles.
Do they need to be in order or something? Cause I just wasted ten minutes trying to get past the "These men CUT through their enemies" and I feel embarrassingly stuck. I'm assuming it's Arthur, Perseus, Samson (getting his hair cut) and two others, but I can't figure it out.

And if the game is to be believed about various conspiracies:
Fuckin everyone from FDR to Ghandi had pieces of Eden. And everyone from George Washington to Napoleon to Alexander the Great was involved on some level. Talk about, "nothing is true." I also like the stories of the other great assassins besides Altair, they sound like each could have their own game.
