When I was a kid I had Ultima III and Ultima IV for the NES
I fucking hated them
Had no goddamned idea what the fuck was going on, all running around with 4 hobbit barbarians, not realizing you needed to equip weapons and armor, dudes all dying of starvation, all pissed off because I'd kill a kid and be raped by guards
Ultima IV was even more frustrating
I just didn't understand the mechanics, or the point I suppose. Today I fired up IV, and man it's a pretty good goddamned time.

I spent way too much time with Ultima 4; I had reagents out the fucking ass and I only ever used the mage to cast spells and everbody else just tanked it.
uh excuse me but the proper term is isometric view and it is pretty good or didn't you play equinox or the immortal
I vaguely remember not being able to get equinox in my blockbusters as I was very young and had not the funds to buy it. and I distinctly remember landstalker referring to it's view on the back of the box as 3/4ths even if isometric is correct.

I played through Castlevania: SOTN and am now on my way through Parasite Eve.
Also I am playing Castlevania Portrait of Sorrow, which is pretty good.
I wish there was an Xbox 360 game out right now to make use of my now idle system.
