So this movie is out now and I saw it. It's enjoyable and fun, though it runs off the rails a bit in the end. Camaraderie between Downey and Law is great and the best part of the film. The biggest disappointment for me was that they go so close to being like the stories, but they just didn't make it (with Holmes' character in particular).

Still, you guys should see it

    The cheesy trailer with the pillow made me not want to watch this movie. Maybe I'll Netflix it in a few months.

    this was pretty good but I thought
    the resolution was terrible. Like, it was almost as if they stopped in the middle of the movie. Should have cut right after he puts the key in whats her faces blouse.

    The Sequel scream at the end was the only "gripe" I have with the film. They could have cut the last five/ten minutes and it would have wrapped up perfectly.


    Also the trailer for this film blew ass, like they were trying way too hard to make it "cutting-edge" and "hard-hitting"

    he basically went insane from going too deep into the part of Holmes

    also my friend who is in love with Sherlock and has read every story like 5 times each still loved this movie

    inconsistencies with the stories are there, but the movie is good enough that they don't matter

    as an avid reader of the books, i am worried that they may not have captured the true character of a sherlock holmes story and instead created an unrelated action comedy movie and just borrowed a couple of names from a book they had lying around

    The first one I saw was just Leonardo DiCaprio in a room that was all sideways or something

    I saw the new trailer for Shutter Island before Up in the Air, I'm still not sure what to think

    Sherlock Holmes was damn enjoyable. Not as much as Avatar but hey. It was fun going to the movies with my family for this
